Weight loss plateaus will happen, it’s just all about being prepared for when they strike. Getting an understanding of why they happen is important to progress past them. What’s also important is realizing how your body works, and what it needs in order for it to respond favourably to exercise and diet.
A weight-loss plateau can be overcome with changes in activity, addressing lifestyle issues, and keeping the diet as clean as possible. Recognizing when stress has overwhelmed you, sleep is being neglected, and you need a break will go a long way in helping combat weight loss plateaus.
You also need to be aware of consuming enough calories per day and the issues that come from not nourishing your body properly. Healthy weight loss is all about combining exercise, diet, rest, recovery, and an overall holistic approach for it to happen.
Learn To Deal With Setbacks
The line to your goals won’t be straight. The sooner you accept this and learn to deal with it, the better.
The diet that you will start doing will not always be clean. The workouts that you will be doing are not always amazing. Don’t beat yourself up about it. These setbacks are simply one of the keys of the game that we all have to play. Accept the setback and immediately move on.
Ten years from now, the people that have learned to deal with setbacks will be the people that are blessed with amazing lives.
Focus on progression and not perfection.
If you hear yourself say, “I should be” or “I have to”, you are attempting to live your life by other people’s standards. And now you are aware of this, you will be amazed at how often you use this language.
The thing is, trying to live to others’ standards will never bring you true happiness or fulfilment. Even the use of this language brings a feeling of self-judgement and stress without even taking the actions associated with it. And over time, continually living this way, you will start to feel like your life isn’t your own, and you will lead yourself deeper into crisis as your self-esteem suffers.
If you hear yourself using this language, stop in your tracks. Explore where the thought actually came from and who said you should be doing things that way. Let go of the need to judge yourself according to someone else’s standards and start to think about what you really want instead.
When you let go of all the “I should’s” and start to replace them with your “I wants,” you will notice the feeling of lightness as your self-esteems rises again.
Eat a Slightly Bit Better
Most people are tired of hearing the advice of “eat healthy.” First of all, that means a completely different thing for almost everyone out there. You can’t just take a copy/paste diet from the internet and apply it to your situation. There are specifics regarding your body, physical a activity, immune system and geographical position that you need to take into concern.
Someone living in Norway will have a different healthy diet from someone living in Mexico or here in New Zealand. Someone who has genetical problems with heart or blood will have a different healthy diet from someone who doesn’t have those problems.
But no matter what your situation is, just remember that every change starts small and slow. So don’t make big and rash changes– they never last.
Start small and keep at it. Eventually, the compound effect will take place and you will become healthier. ➡️danmazzolatraining.com.
Attitude is everything. It’s how we heal ourselves. It’s how we stay positive. It’s how we secure things. It’s how we overcome.
Without a positive attitude, we cannot persevere. Perseverance is the point of positivity.
A positive attitude is how we fuel willpower. Willpower is how we fuel positivity. It goes in a circle. They are interchangeable.
Positivity denotes willpower. You can be standing in a storm and feel completely calm when you use positivity. You stay grounded. You stand firm. You do not fall over. And you know what? Even if you do, you get back up again.
There is a Japanese proverb, in english translates to - fall seven times, get up eight. This means you do not stop, you keep going. You make it through the hard times to find the good.
A positive attitude is about understanding you have power over your problems. Once you understand that, you can change your attitude. You have to choose positive thinking first in order to reap its benefits. Once you’ve chosen to be positive, you can do anything.
The afternoon of @wbff_official worlds where I finished 7th in the world as a Pro Muscle Model.
I feel short of my goal , but know exactly what let me down and what I need to improve on. They are easy fixes. I had the size and shape to compete with the best but it was my conditioning that let me down. So that just comes down to pushing myself a little bit harder. Eliminating things in my life that was creating unneeded stress, which I have done.
I wish I could do another show already to rectify this and show my true capabilities. I have more important things ahead of me at this point in time. But will always be working towards that next show, the grind never stops.
I am proud of my efforts and cant wait to do it again.
