Meditation and self-care have changed my life in ways I cannot explain. Taking the time to stop, to breathe, to reconnect to my body and gain perspective on what is, what is made up in my mind, what is going on in my body and how I feel about the challenges and blessings I face and receive every day. .
Cultivating presence and compassion has helped me notice when I am projecting my own fears on other people whilst also giving me tools to handle myself and the challenges I was facing.
It started with as little as 3 minutes a day for a few weeks. Consistently practicing allowed me to develop self-discipline. Self-discipline allowed me to go deeper into the mastery of the practice and now I can sit in silence for weeks at a time and gain even more insights and use my energy more productively. .
Meditation allows me to walk through life with clarity and poise. When I take the time to center, I notice how easy it becomes to achieve what I want and attract what I need. When I take the time to center, I am also able to see the gifts life has to offer and receive them wholeheartedly.
For the last 3 years I have had such a blessed life not only because I have changed some habits and mindsets, but because meditation has empowered me to see things as they are and receive them as they are. How many times do we let our fears push away the love people want to give us or the gifts and blessings life keeps sending our way?
How many times do we make up a future that has not happened and remain stuck in the fear that it may realise and hurt us?
Noticing our self-sabotaging patterns is a skill that comes with regular meditation practice. Being able to watch our patterns and act differently is a skill that also comes with regular meditation practice.

“Practice makes perfect“ is so done... as a recovering perfectionist, I think we should all start embracing and replacing it with the phrase “practice makes progress” instead. .
That’s so much more realistic and helpful because that’s really what life is all about. It’s about celebrating the progress over this unrealistic idea of perfection. Embracing gratitude for each unique part of journey, rather than just constantly rushing through life and seeking the next destination. .
It’s about being present and understanding that the baby steps are much more important and more realistic to attain than one giant leap. The baby steps are VITAL to our growth because they are where we learn perseverance and develop courage and the resilience to keep moving forward, stronger and better with each step, even after we fall. .
It’s the small changes over time faithfully that take us further than any one time giant leap anyways. So once we learn this and start to practice it in our day to day, tension releases, stress dissipates, life actually gets a lot more enjoyable. Even if we stumble and fall a little bit here and there, we learn to brush it off and keep going. As for me, I’ll take progress over perfection any day... who’s with me on ditching perfection?

Weekday Women’s Walks
Now the weathers changing its time to make the effort to get outside, come rain or shine as nature is one of the biggest healers, so I invite you to join me for a walk and natter around the farm.
Every Tuesday at 10am I’ll be opening heading out around the farm for a walk, this walk will be about 90mins long and a slow meander, no power walking just a gentle plod around the countryside.
I love a good walk and chat, and want to open this to all of you lovely women too. Olive will be with me in her sling (ground not suitable for buggies I’m afraid) but babies in slings and toddlers in wellies welcome, we’ll finish with a cup of tea and a snack before we head off on our separate ways.
I’ll do this whether it’s raining or shine, just comment below if you wish to come or book on at the website so I know to wait for you (just in case you’re running late) or to let you know if plans have changed.
10am start, finish walking about 11.30 and total finish about midday. Wear footwear suitable for walking across uneven ground and through long grass and as the weather gets wetter mud, and layers/rain coats if needed.
