In today’s culture a lot of pride and emphasis goes into being an achiever, having ambition, living up to ones full potential and being an active voice- which are all strong and desirable characteristics. I’ve noticed a tendency to think less of the pacifists, the followers, the people who are content without big ambitions and who are generally non-confrontational. While the first group tends to solve problems, help others, and propel society along with brillant innovations and ideas this is the same group that starts wars and conflict (when is the last time a dictator was the shy, agreeable type?).The quiet, pacifists are perhaps not great at activism and solving world issues but they also do not initially contribute to them as much. The world needs good followers just as much as good leaders, so this goes out to all the quiet folks by nature👍🏼 dont feel bad, you do not have to be starting a company or participating in a rally to be a decent human being. Also, 👍🏼 to all the outspoken, we need you to keep us going. I want everyone to be seen for their strengths, even if they’re quiet ones. #yoga#philosophy#thoughts#asana#yogagram#yogainspiration#love#mysore#ashtangayoga#yogalife

I have to confess. I am a person who struggles to make a decision. Choose one from many? Can't I just get it all? 🤷🏻♀️😅
But seriously, wouldn't it be amazing that whenever you are facing a big decision in your life you could just close your eyes and hear the tiny voice: "Choose A!” Wait, we call it intuition. Some of us are very intuitive, but it doesn't mean they are using this inner power. Why? Because in our daily lives Chitta dominates Prana. Mind dominates Energy. And more often than not we are shutting down the intuition and starting to analyze, figure out, count and think. Which, of course, a good thing to do, but if you let your mind only to decide with whom/where and how you want to be in your life you probably will end up with the feeling that life is a Truman show 🤡
Making a decision is part of being a responsible adult. And I believe that in this process we should include both: mind and intuition. How? Through developing kinesthetic intuition.
Your body talking to you all the time. Thoughts, emotions, and feelings always resonate with the body. If you close your eyes and imagine yourself falling from the cliff or meeting your dear friend, whom you didn't see for a long time. I bet the physical sensations would be very different.
You can use your body wisdom as help while making a decision. Through the few steps:
🔸 Relax (Body Scan).
🔸 Choose 2 paths which you have in front of you (even if you have more choices, I'd suggest working with 2 at a time)
🔸 Clearly decide that you going to go with one of the choices (does not matter which one)
🔸 Be quiet and still. Watch your feelings, locate it in the body. Does it have shape, color, taste? Let this feeling get big.
🔸 Reflect. If you will allow yourself to make this choice how that would feel?
🔸 Sense any shift, notice what spontaneously arises.
🔸 Slowly transition back.
It looks awfully simple and vague, but it works. Our bodies are amazingly smart. But more important - we so often know the answer, but keep lying to ourselves. Because of all the fears, beliefs and borders, we build around.
