Thoughts. God dammit thoughts. They get me so many times. I believe what they’re saying to me. That I’m not enough or that I should be better, try harder, that I’m too much or a bad partner, or depressed or suck at meditating or ....the list goes (embarrassing) on and on.
Thoughts. I’m trying to take a step back and see them for exactly what they are. A believe in this present moment? Or a fact? Because most of the time, thoughts that pose as cold hard fact, are simply believes. And fleeting! Though, sometimes they get stuck on repeat. .
Using mindfulness practices such as daily meditation help reconnect me back to presence, allowing me to notice that because a thought crosses my mind, doesn’t mean it’s truth. When the mind runs, which it does often, I try to see them as what they are; the activity of the mind. Watching them continually come and go, always in fluctuation. Taking a step back, viewing, labeling them; ‘thinking mind’ ‘planning mind’ ‘analytical mind’ etc etc. This helps me not to get so caught up in them. ...but if I’m being real with you, most of the time I catch these thoughts AFTER they’ve put me though states of anxiety and self destruction. But, I’m catching them closer and closer to when they take over. Hopefully soon enough I will catch them beforehand and stop the anxiety from spiraling!

#SomethingGood today: I’m alive and well! I have my health, eyes to see this beauty, love surrounding me, my beautiful Mother watching me from above, a mind to think and create, a heart and a soul to feel every emotion. If that’s not good- I don’t know what else could be!

The Movement Concept 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training
Start date: January 10, 2020
End date: June 14, 2020
The training will be held every other weekend, Saturday and Sunday, from 12pm-8pm. There will also be at least one Friday night session with the possibility of one or two more to be added. While we hope and encourage you to attend every weekend, we understand that things come up and that you will also have other things going on in you life during this time. If you need to miss a day or weekend, there will be an opportunity to make up any missed hours.
Note: We have deliberately spread this training over six months. Our intention is to take things slowly. We wanted to create the space for trainees to dig into this deep work and be immersed in the practices. .
The Big Picture
We have worked really hard to create a unique training, one that goes beyond preparing trainees to be yoga teachers. It’s about learning, understanding and honoring the ancient and sacred practices of yoga. It’s also about helping you to learn and understand yourself and those around you, so that you can live your yoga practice out in the world.
Yoga offers layers of support - to discover who you truly are and who you are meant to be. And we believe that when you know these things, you not only tap into contentment and purpose for yourself, but that you can support others on their path.
This training is for the seekers, the searchers and the changemakers. It’s for the restless and the wanderers and the wonderers. It’s about mining for gold within oneself. It’s about discovering, understanding and accepting your path and your life’s work. And then it’s about going even further by encouraging you to share your gifts with others from a grounded and grateful space. .
The Movement Concept’s 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training has an expansive and detailed foundation to prepare you for lifelong practice and to teach yoga. The training is in the Raja Yoga tradition, meaning it’s based on the “royal” or 8-limbed path of yoga. (Cont. in Comments)

I realized my face is covered in about 80% of my pictures so this is something new n funky
A day like this reminds me of how phenomenal this world of ours is. I have traveled around a decent amount of beaches and every single one of them is perfect, beautiful, unique, so purposeful. I wouldn’t have changed one thing about this day; except maybe the decision on jeans except of yoga pants 🤷🏽♀️
