B L E N D I N G // I finally tried a @rigourandwhimsy#wine. The nerdily named #FluxCapacitor 2018 #amberwine (11%). Fermented on skins for two months and aged in barrels for seven months. The blend of six grape varieties reminds me of the best beer blender in the world, Gueuzerie Tilquin. It's a rare art to blend anything and come up with "wow!" I'm still new to wine but little parts of it remind me of (wild) beer or cider. I drank this at @campupstairs alongside good friend @andyshmu who also got the same wine but somehow made it last 3x as long as I could. This journey into non-(or less-) carbonated booze is dangerous. Even Wicca took a sip of this and liked it! (Even though she's allergic to alcohol and can't have more than a couple sips — but then I always have a designated driver 😎.) Tasting notes? I don't even know where to begin... Dry-ish, a bit astringent/tannic, "HELLO I'M GRAPE!", some funk, mild/moderate acidity, and a bit of a hot alcohol note on the nose... although not in a bad way as with some beers...and not exactly a rubbing alcohol or jet fuel kind of alcohol aroma too...different.
