Let’s talk about weight management vs weight loss.
Crazy how I’ve been feeling recently. To go from being so focused on weight loss for 13months straight and then to have to change that mindset it something that is a lot harder to deal with than I thought.
I got to my lowest target (10s6) in December and have maintained since. (Before this I had to keep lowering my target as I kept loosing) For the last 4 months I’ve successfully maintained this weight and managed to stay between 10st and 10st 5. This is a massive deal and I’m so proud of myself but why do I always feel the sense of dread when I know I’m not going to have a loss on the scales. Like loosing weight was such a rush for me and seeing the numbers go down and seeing my body change was amazing. Maintaining is hard, not that loosing weight isn’t hard. But I had those awards to push me and make all the hard work worth it. Not having that too push you is hard. Everyone so keen to get to target but what for? Don’t get me wrong I’m 100% happy I’ve managed to keep all my weight off and not just pile it all back on. My main focus now is my fitness and strength training so I’m hoping this will be my new priority. Going from loosing weight every week to just staying the same is definitely something that will take time to get used too I think- and something I think SlimmingWorld should help it’s ‘customers’ with more. This is my life now, maintaining my weight is now my lifestyle. I never want to go back to where I was so hopefully I can carry on the way I have been and live a healthier, balanced more positive life ❤️🌸 🏅🏅🏅🏅🏅🏅
