Yes I am giving #hoop another go. Yes I enjoyed it, but damn I'm still so #sore after Saturday. I just left my usual #aerial#conditioning class and I just could not function. Although I did manage three (assisted) pull-ups without jumping, that was about the only thing I managed to do correctly. We had to do a push up for one minute. ONE PUSH UP. That means taking 30 seconds down and 30 seconds back up. And this was at the end of the session. 😬😬😬😬 It's been interesting because although I took a break from aerial work, I was still #training. I returned to #aerialcircus and felt reinvigorated about it and I'm glad I took some time off to train something else. I guess absence makes the heart grow fonder even with #circus

Mehr Wiederholungen & weniger Gewicht oder doch mehr Gewicht & weniger Wiederholungen? 🤔
Sehr oft hört man solche Diskussionen, wenn es um das Training geht. Doch wie sollte man trainieren und wie erstellt man sich eigentlich selbst einen Trainingsplan?
Zunächst einmal sollten wir die Grundlagen für einen guten Trainingsplan schaffen 👌
Versucht jede Muskelgruppe 2-3x pro Woche zu trainieren. Ihr könnt natürlich auch immer an einem Tag nur eine Muskelgruppe trainieren, aber dann könnt ihr unsere Volumen Empfehlungen nicht benutzen.
Macht pro Muskelgruppe und pro Training 40-70 Wiederholungen. Satzanzahl-Vorgaben benötigt ihr nicht, da die Sätze vom Volumen und den Wiederholungsbereichen abhängen.
2/3 eures Volumens solltet ihr durch moderate Wiederholungen von 6-20 erreichen (6-10, 8-12, 12-15, 15-20). 1/3 sollte durch niedrige Wiederholungsbereiche von 4-6 erreicht werden (5x5, 4-6).
Sucht euch Übungen heraus, die euch Spaß machen und die bei euch keine Schmerzen verursachen. Bei vielen Übungen werden mehrere Muskelgruppen beansprucht. Beachtet deshalb die Überlappung der Muskelgruppen, wenn ihr euch an diese Volumen Vorgaben haltet 😊

Intermittent Fasting (IF)
Or, as it should be known, restricted eating window.
As essentially this is all you aim to do.
You aim to eat all of your meals and calories within a period of time during the day. Often 10-6 or 12-8, sometimes even less time.
There's been plenty research into both benefits and flaws on the subject.
But here's the low down, less time spent during the day eating = less calories consumed.
Often a handy strategy which can be used to lose some weight, though it's not THE best approach for anyone. Likely only if it works for you!
Just a suggested approach which has been shown to work, as it does, though isn't magical like some would have you suggest
When I first began teaching at Whitehall Street, I was a little intimidated by the men!! I knew I had a voice, but it took a few classes to feel my power 💪 🧞♀️ One of the best measures of success is having a repeat audience and many of the men kept returning. I quickly learned names and began to rely on the people I would see week after week. Carlos always stood out to me. Serious, but not serious. Very strong. 🚲 A true cyclist 🚲 Time flies and Carlos remains consistent to my Thursday lunch class. A Barcelona native 🇪🇸 he’s open minded, all power and a “Roca Star”! ⭐️
FW: How long (weeks/months/years) have you participated in Felicia's spin class?
CR: OOF! I can't even remember!. I think I have known and attended Felicia's spin class for at least 7 or 8 years 💯 .
FW: How many of Felicia's classes do you attend per week?
CR: I attend normally once per week at Whitehall location. When I lived in the city I managed to attend some other locations sometimes more than once per week.
FW: What is your preferred location?
CR: For convenience to my work, Whitehall, but Felicia keeps the same high standard in all her classes, no matter the location, no matter if 1 person ( never the case.. ) or 30 people in class. 🤗 .
FW: What was your first class like?
CR: A rush; and you get hooked. The combination of intense workout with fun music 📣 🎵 is unique with Felicia. Once you start you long for those 45 minutes a day when you evade your mind and push your body so you get better day by day. It is also such a mental stress reliever! 🙏 .
FW: What is your favorite drill?
CR: Interval training
FW: Why do you keep coming back?
CR: Simple. with Felicia's class I feel I get a total workout in the short amount of time I have at lunch time. I normally burn no less than 600 calories. She makes it challenging, fun, keeps updating music with latest hits and make sure the drills are rhythmically combined with the music which makes exercising, just FUN for all levels!. Felicia gives 100% each class. Few instructors do and not all do complete the class. I think I have ever, never seen Felicia not do the full actual class!.
Always strive to do a little more and always stay safe 😅😂 Long day working but had time to hit the gym before I went home, and it's definitely important to take the time to work out! Now I feel super fresh!!!!but still pumped to hit my bedroom for some proper rest 😜
Ps. I may look super cool 😎 with my mouth taped at the gym(not shown here) but I always keep my meds close at hand cause you never know when it's a bad day and then the asthma attacks may come... Which is not the best feeling. Haven't had one in quite a while but still,there is a risk.
It's also interesting 😁 but I feel a sort of pain whenever I workout hard and loose focus on my breathing 🤪 like it seriously hurts over my chest. But again I mostly just look cool working out - you don't see my sometimes internal struggles 👌👌 peace out 🙌🙌
