Throwing it back to this epic bowl cuz I ain’t been in the kitchen a lick 🙌🏻 I’ve spent the past 3 days working at our family vineyard @yorbawines in the pouring rain, drinking good wine, eating just about anything, and haven’t exercised at all. But I am SO DAMN HAPPY.
I can get so wrapped up in needing to keep to my schedule, eat healthy, exercise, do all the things that help me feel my best. But it’s also so important to just LIVE. Throw that shiz out the window once in a while for the amazing memories that come with not worrying about needing to be your most perfectly healthy self. .
Yeah, my gut is all outta whack and I’m exhausted, but I wouldn’t trade the laughs with my cousins for anything. So here’s a reminder to cut yourself some slack and enjoy life. The kale and the spin class will be always waiting for you. .

🌿Felt so good to get back in the garden this past weekend!🍅We picked up some compost and seedlings, and I'm crossing my fingers and toes that our veggies turn out as well as they (mostly) did last year.🙏

Not only is her account styled to the GODS, but her garnishes are always impressive. 🍜
Garnishes are such a key part of cocktails. They provide stunning visual presentation which can amplify and punctuate your drink. They can also provide reinforcement of a specific flavor or scent. So this week I'll be sharing some of my thoughts on garnishing and why – and I couldn't think of a more perfect inaugural cocktail. 🍜
This was PROBABLY the most controversial drink I ever created. It was...polarizing. A large group didn't get it, others were repulsed, and then a large mix were here for it. This is an example of a "form over function" garnish – WAY over the top! If this cocktail was ever served in a bar it could never functionally be executed. The purpose of this garnish is to make a loud statement, and be camp for the sake of camp. It's fun, and ridiculous and exactly how I wanted it. What are your thoughts on garnishing?
