This book is brand new. We have only had it for a month. Look how worn it is already! Pages are dog eared, the spine is frayed, there are some little rips on the side. This used to get me so frustrated. Why aren’t they taking care of our books? Don’t they realize these cost money? Not any more. Now I think, wow these kids love this book! These kids can’t wait for their turn to read it. They have to take it home because they can’t wait to read more. It has changed hands so many times already because they are so thrilled to get their turn. #perspective
This was the best purchase I made for GLOW DAY! Neon Connect Four! A lot have asked for this link so I put an affiliate link in my profile! I’m getting a blog post together with allll the links and pictures, but hopefully this will help! 😉
Yesterday as I held onto my babes and cried all.day.long, I told them over and over and over that I was doing this for them.
Going back to work just wasn’t a part of my plan, but I wasn’t going to let the actions of someone else dictate what kind of life my kids and I have. And so I went.
Leading up to getting this job, I prayed time and again that God would open up a door, just 𝐨𝐧𝐞 door, if this is what I was supposed to do.
Being in that school today, I have no doubt that, although I didn’t see it coming, God did. He always knew. The amount of peace, dare I say even excitement, I felt being there, was something I didn’t expect.
Then when I had Tatum and Jax in that room with me, I knew it would be ok. They’ll see me working hard. They’ll see how I gave up time with them because I love them so much. They’ll see that I’ll do anything to take care of them.
My babes mean the world to me, and that, more than anything, is what they’ll know.

Casual Saturday over here. We attempted breakfast out on the town. We know the drill with going out to eat in public with young children... Leave the dignity at the door and pick it up on the way out.. We did just that! We actually move really fast as we shuffle out these days. I think if we started training, we could run and no one would even see us!🤔 stay tuned🏃♀️🏃♂️.

Come along with us as we explore nature with our children! Brit from @thesmittyfamgram so graciously put together a little exploration group this afternoon. We ventured into the woods and followed the #exploringnaturewithchildren curriculum paired with beautiful downloads from @twigandmoth. This week we were on the hunt for mini beasts! Watch to see what we found!

Some of the ladies on my team have been doing fun Star Student things for years and I finally hopped on the Star Student train this week. We ended our week making a special book for our Star Student! I think it turned out so cute. My robot clipart added the perfect touch to the cover of the book. #starstudent#robotpuns

I wish I could have a classroom full of these tables instead of desks 😍 Amanda ( @mudandinkteaching) was able to do that and I basically think it’s the best thing EVER. Love seating that lends itself to collaboration 👌🏼
What do you prefer in your classroom? Desks, tables, or all flexible seating?!
Ok I officially found a new favorite beginning of the school year project: Same and Different! We used this to launch our first math module AND to help students build relationships with their classmates. Students created self portraits (and were SUPER responsible with ✂️ and glue 😍) and then worked with a partner to record similarities and differences with a Venn Diagram! They turned out SO CUTE and students were so excited to find things they had in common with their classmates! ❤️❤️❤️
Help students identify when to use a, an and the with these Activities. Posters explaining each Article are also included. @miss_fuller26_ 📷 Find under ‘Most Recent’ in the Literacy Centers category in store. Link in story.
@ArmAndHammer baking soda + science = the perfect match! #ad Last year we began having a “Scientist of the Week” where students presented & explained a scientific activity to the class. I would say about 75% of my students used @ArmAndHammer baking soda in their science experiments! It is the perfect tool to help demonstrate the creation of carbon dioxide, like in this Power Boat experiment that I will use to model our “Scientist of the Week” to my class! How great is it to have such a simple + cheap ingredient that can help our students learn scientific concepts? Now excuse me while I continue to practice my science experiment in my kitchen sink...
Check out the link in my bio to see how teachers and students can enter to win cash for themselves and for their school by entering the ARM & HAMMER™ Spooky STEM Fest DIY Contest! #morepowertoyou#armandhammer#scientistoftheweek
