Nothing beats a cheeky Nando’s🐔 Defo my favourite restaurant chain!
I usually order half a chicken with Nando’s peri salted chips and greens and grains (cz I’m so healthy obvs 😌) (£11.10) . The grilled meat is always tender, succulent and coated with a thin layer of charcoaled, almost crispy skin.
Both the chicken and chips pair amazingly with a mix of hot and garlic medium peri-peri sauce. But the new vusa peri-peri sauce 🌶 totally won my heart- So so hot with ‘intense flavours from Africa’!

Acmella alba, also known as toothache plant. It is called as such because its flowers and leaves contain spilanthol, a local anesthetic which can numb your tongue and gums for few mins. Commonly used to treat toothache, throat and gum infections. Personally i haven't tried chewing on them myself, i grow them because they make a beautiful groundcover plants.
Let’s explore Taipei and Keelung ! You get what u pay . What do u expect ?

Burgundy snails with parsley sauce and garlic custard 🐌
Every dish was so delicately made and tasted amazing. Was a bit disappointed with the service tho- otherwise it’s a well deserved Michelin 3-starred restaurant.

Gnocchi was bomb!!! 😍
Lightly seared, these little potato pillows had a nice crispy outer layer and a chewy yet light and delicate inside. I liked these 🥔 more than the lamb if you ask me!
Part of the 8-course Carte Blanche tasting menu ($2280) at this Michelin 3-starred restaurant 💛

Nicotiana Alata - unlike the "Lime green" variety, this one is very very fragrant. The scent reminiscent of Jasmine but sweeter and has other notes that make it distinct. I actually prefer Nicotiana scent over Jasmine 😃

If you're looking for a "perfect" plant to grow in the tropics, you might want to consider this milkweed. Why?
1)This Asclepias species is native to the tropics, so naturally it thrives in the heat and humidity. Also tolerates both wet and dry season well
2)It blooms continuously and its showy red and yellow colours is very striking! The flowers are very attractive to pollinators (provides nectar) - it attracts butterflies, bees, and wasps. Yes i know wasps can be a concern but they thankfully haven’t been aggressive
3)It attracts spiders. Some of you might be thinking why on earth would you want spiders in the garden. But! Spiders are very beneficial because they devours many insects eg. aphids, caterpillars, beetles, flies, grasshoppers, bugs, and thrips - controlling pests population
4)This plant can suffer from milkweed bugs (Hemiptera) which is a pest. This bug feed exclusively on milkweed, it doesn't bother your other plants and they reproduce aggressively. Fortunately, the baby bugs attracts yet another beneficial insect to your garden - the famous ladybug which feed on Hemiptera babies, effectively controlling their population
So yeah, you should plant milkweed. It help bring "balanced" ecosystem to your garden :)

This ID of this plant is very confusing, because of its flower form, it has been placed in the genus Hippeastrum and thought to be - H.roseum, H.puniceum, H.stylosum, H.puniceum and H.equestre. However, none of those species are considered valid. The foliage is very different from all known hippeastrums and rather resembles Habranthus or Zephyranthes
Taxonomist now placed this plant in different genus, Rhodophiala. The accepted scientific name is Rhodophiala rosea
Thankfully, growing this plant is anything but complicated. Here in the tropic, you can grow them outside. Just plant them on fertile well drained soil and full sun - they'll grow happily. And! You don't have to water them too, rainfed is enough
Just like Amaryllis, this plant only bloom once or twice a year. But it can be forced to bloom by cutting all of its foliage at the neck level, supposedly it'll flower in about 2 months time. Or so i heard, i never tried it. I usually just patiently wait for them blooming when they feel like it 😅😂

Close-up pics of Buddleja davidii, also known as summer lilac or butterfly bush. Still cant believe that I managed to seed grown this plant, keep it alive and blooming in this tropical climate 😍
Mentha sp. flowers
Why sp? - unspecified species, i bought it from local garden center, they themselves don't know what kind of mint is this, lol. The plant smells like Spearmint but with a stronger / sharper menthol note. And slightly less sweet, very pleasant
It also a prolific bloomer. I always remove the flowers, but it keep on pumping out blooms, so in the end i gave up and let them be. The flowers are attractive pollinators, it attracts all kind of bees, small butterflies and wasp moth (pictured)
I know some moths can be a serious pest in garden. But i don't think wasp moth is the pesky kind. There are many of them in my garden, and i never noticed any larvae infestations (leaves with many holes). I could be wrong though 😅
Oh, third slide, do you notice any predator on the hunt? Hint: circular, light green
