The best thing I ever did for my recovery during my eating disorder was to take the brave face off and admit that I needed help. It can seem daunting at first to open up to your loved ones & tell them you are struggling, especially when you feel like your supposed to be the strong one for everybody else. Mental health issues are an illness and you do deserve to get help for them. you are not a burden and your problems do matter. Luckily I have such amazing support from friends and family but that is not always the case for every one! This is why I’m SO passionate about helping other woman take off their brave faces and know that it’s okay to talk. Luckily I have managed to overcome what was easily the worst time of my life but it doesn’t mean that the ED thoughts have gone, it just means that I know how to deal with them when they arise instead of letting them control me any more. I’m grateful for my body now and the strength it has🙏 #itsokaynottobeokay#edrecovery#edrecoveryquotes#mentalhealth#mentalhealthawareness#mentalhealthmatters#strong#mentalillness#recovery#reallife
#wiser#happiness#strong#strengh#light#beacon#ocean#tears#holdinghands#anchor#smile#care#pamper#love #❤🙏❤ #❤❤❤

It is important for us to care for vulnerable families who are less close to home, such as refugees who don’t have the essential winter items they need to cope with the rain and snow. Remember the compassion Umar (ra) displayed towards vulnerable Muslims living far from home: please give what you can to protect people from cold this winter . Use the link in the bio 👆🏽. #al_ghafurr
LONG POST - please read to the end 💗
So this post has been a loooooong time coming, almost 12 months now and it’s taken me this long to post about it as it’s something that I’ve always been very self conscious about.
At the end of last year my skin started to flare up and then it just kept getting worse at the beginning of this year. You name it, I tried it. From dietary changes, naturopathic consults, different skin care products, microdermabrasion, peels, PRP skin needling to prescription creams and antibiotics. The amount of money I’ve spent trying to clear up my skin would easily be thousands of dollars 😩🤦🏼♀️ (I’m sure there are plenty of acne sufferers that can relate!)
I stopped taking photos of my face, stayed home a lot more and some nights I would even cry at how bad and painful my skin was. I even had multiple people point out how bad my acne was (like thank you for that, I hadn’t noticed the acne all over my face and the fact that you’re pointing it out is doing wonders for my self confidence 🙄). -
7 months ago my dermatologist put me on a particular restricted prescription medication that has an extensive side effect list to say the least. From extreme skin dryness, nosebleeds, photosensitivity reactions, multiple infections, to vision changes and a chalazion that I had an eye operation to remove. Let’s just say that it’s been a very long 7 months for me 😂.
Today marks my last day on this medication and I’m so excited to finally stop it so my body can return to normal 🎉.
The point of this post is definitely not to promote this medication but to show that we all have vulnerabilities and challenges that we face in life. Some of us just may not be ready to talk about them. Be kind always 💕
Please.. Please.. don't settle for anything less than what you think you deserve!
The question is what do you think you deserve? It should be equal to what you give, not equal to your expectations.
So.. do you give as much as you expect?
If yes.. then.. Don't wait for those who may never come.
Don't wait for someone's message that may never arrive.
We live in a world of moden technology where messaging someone is the easiest thing to do. You don't need excuses.
So if they want.. they would send a message.
It's all about priorities. It's all about wanting, doing, showing the love. Commitment.
You're worth more than being maybe to someone.
You're worth more than second thoughts.
You're not an option! Or you think you are?
You shouldn't be.
You deserve love. You deserve constant engagement and commitment, not only when they feel lonely or when they need you.
The same goes for you.
I love to say: you deserve love you give!
Good night beautiful people wherever you are.. if you treat others like an option.. then.. don't complain about them treating you the same way! Be that person you want to have in your life. 💙🌏🙏🏻🦄
