What is creatine?
Creatine is a compound formed in protein metabolism and present in much living tissue. It’s involved in the supply of energy for muscular contractions.
Benefits to creatine;
-Helps muscle cells produce more energy
-Improves high intensity exercise performance
-Improves multiple factors such as; -Ballistic power -sprint ability -muscle endurance -muscle mass -recovery -Brain performance.
-Lowers blood sugar levels and fights diabetes by increasing GLUT4 performance.
Negatives of creatine;
-Can cause stomach pain or nausea
-creatine draws water from the body to the muscles therefore a high water intake is needed.
-Don’t use if you have kidney disease
Although there are many rumours that taking creatine supplements will increase the chance of liver or kidney disease, there are no scientific researches that have proven this to be true.

Friends, my absolute favorite part of the week is our dedicated #SelfCareSaturday
We’ve created this habit of blocking off Saturday to work towards our goals and also taking time to unwind. While it looks a bit different every week, this is usually some combination of -
1️⃣ Exploring: Finding a new coffee shop we can get comfy at and check out a new place
2️⃣ A really good meal: A full on homemade breakfast, a trip to our favorite hot food/salad bar at @wholefoods or taking time to try recreating those @buzzfeedtasty Videos we’ve been meaning to.
3️⃣ Reading: Starting a new book, studying up on something that’s been on our minds, or for Joe, studying for his exams.
4️⃣ A workout: time to move our bodies in any way we’re feeling. Long runs, walks downtown, yoga, you name it.
This is truly one of my favorite things, and I protect it as one of my highest commitments each week since it brings me so much happiness and balance.
