I just recently found out about both of these bands on the same day which I thought was funny considering both album arts share a common subject. In fact that happens to be the reason for this post. The subject of these artworks in John Carpenter's "The Thing", for those of you who aren't familiar.
The first is a brutal death album titled "Gore-fi Sci-fi" by the band COLPOLSCOPY that was released on October 25th earlier this year.
The second is "The Horror Of It All" by the Australian death metal band, As Flesh Decays, which was released on Halloween of 2017.
So being that "The Thing" is one of my favorite horror films it would be cool of you all to share links on this post of any other "The Thing" themed albums for me to check out! Also scope these albums out because both of them are wicked.
Did you make it to the end of this of longwinded post? You did?! Heres a cookie 🍪
Second release of russian slam death machine Psychosurgical Intervention "Prologue" (a prequel to "Act I") will be out January 20th via More Hate Productions! Cover art by @rudenko.ink.
Press release: "Viscous slamming riffs and forceful themes in odd time signatures will make you sweat bile. Wicked harmonies in mix with dynamic blastbeats will grind your cervical spine into dust. Destructive power of megaton bass drops will bring you to the hard-reset world, remains of which still refuse to die, trying to exterminate what lives and finish what they started."
