A couple of years ago I was a cart pusher at walmart and every now and then I would see a familiar face from school. Well, I had finished my associates and I wasnt sure where I was going next. I needed money to make my first album, I had been talking about it for years and I decided let me try it out and see. Long story short, working as a cart pusher @walmart was probably one of the most inspiring jobs I will probably ever have. All of these ideas came to me because I really wanted to create a better life for myself, ideas of stories, songs, ideas of inventions. But the moment tha really stuck with me was when I passed by a couple who were old school mates of mine, and the woman turned to her boyfriend and said "Aren't you glad you went to college?" That was a true moment that lit a fire in me. That built a hunger for success in me. Even though that hurt, I think back on that moment constantly. I will succeed.
And yesterday, the day I started my furst music video, there were so many magical moments that I just can't explain, but the most magical moment was I ended up going to the walmart I worked at and ended up grabbing a cart that almost hit a car and as I did that, a cart pusher I used to work with just happened to walking by so I gave him a smile and a handshake. Take care of people. There needs to be more kindness in the world.
Happy Sunday! Today I’m releasing 2 acoustic songs on bandcamp only. They’re both really special songs to me that I wanted to keep intimate and unpolished in the recording process. You can download them both for €3 (or more if you’re feeling very generous) and all the proceeds will go towards funding my next single, which is a project I can’t wait to share x Find the link in my bio x
thanks to @annevj_ for this drawing & to @annahald for all the artwork 💗
