🧞♂️That also goes for dropping 1-2kg overnight. This doesn’t mean you Houdini’d you way down the scale either.
📈📉Scales can be a great way to track progress when it’s done the right way and when we have a good understanding of how fat loss works (non-linear).
📆Measure your weight daily to get averages. Same time. Same routine. Same same. We want to see the trends heading down. But not all numbers will line up.
💂🏼♂️Stop letting the number you weigh in on that day determine and dictate your emotional state and progress as a whole.
🍑Your weight on a single day means butt fuck all in the grand scheme of things.
↗️⬆️↘️↔️↔️↗️Weight trends are a more efficient way to track and to measure. These plus measurements, progress pics, how you FEEL, how you PERFORM are all good measures and when combined can be very useful to determine progress.

Friendly reminder that not everyone is okay just because they have a smile on their face. It’s very easy to think a person is ‘doing okay’ based purely off of appearances but the truth is there’s usually a lot more to it. If your friend asks to spend time with you because they’re feeling down, chances are they’re reaching out for help, if they’ve lost interest in the things that once gave them purpose, talk to them! And don’t forget that it may take a lot longer than you think it should for them to be back to ‘normal’ if at all. It takes a very small amount of time to pick up the phone and call someone just to let them know you appreciate their pure existence. Even more so it may be the one thing that keeps them going that little bit longer. 🖤

It’s so incredible that sometimes the very thing you have been looking for gets thrown in your path 💥 I was saying to a dear friend last night that change is very uncomfortable for me 😮 But when you are literally given no choice that brings freedom 🙌 But we do have a choice don’t we - we can ignore the signal for change or we can respond to it by making a change 🌹🥀 Challenges reveal so much about ourselves and that can also be really difficult to confront to 🤔 Just take the first step I say and then before you know it you will be doing 10,000 steps 🏃🏻♀️🏃🏻♀️
Mental illness is like a headache, it is felt in different strengths and impacts different people in different ways, however it is not visible. Most people try to hide a mental illness due to the stigmas and societies expectation that everyone should be 'perfectly fine'. Beginning Thursday 7th November and Monday 25th and every second week on those days at 5:30pm Connelly Fight labs will be launching the "Asylum Boxing project", tathra chapter Boxing training and conditioning classes from 4 John Taylor Cres will commence on the for-mentioned days with the aim to provide an outlet for anyone in the community that is navigating their way through dark times or simply would like to" get after it" for the sake of increased mental health and stability. All levels of ability are catered for in a safe, fun non- judgmental environment where you will learn that Boxing and general fitness, as well as having support from others who will listen (should you need it) is inherently positive for all aspects of personal growth and your mental well-being.
