Welcome to where your recycling goes. Visiting Bywaters was a pretty eye opening experience. What you think is one small piece of cardboard you've recycled adds to the thousands of tonnes that accumulate.
The key learning of the day: be careful what you recycle. One wrong material thrown in and you have the potential to contaminate tonnes. Wash your jars before you chuck them in: funnily enough, mayonnaise and pasta sauce are not recyclable. #recycle
Running late this morning so my morning cup of tea is walking to work with me. I don't tend to use travel mugs much at all, if I visit cafes & coffee shops I tend to sit in and drink from their own mugs, however I have been caught short before and used the plastic lined paper takeaway mugs (forgive me mama earth for I did not know!). This reusable travel mug has been a part of my kitchen utensils for as long as I can remember and while it might not be as instagrammable as the cute bamboo one with flamingos on that I had to tear myself away from buying last week, it does exactly what I need it to 😊
