No way! 🙅♀️
1-2-3-4-5 my name is Brontë and I say hi! 👋
Yeah I'm a girl who grew up with Bring it On, Mean Girls, Lizzie McGuire and 9 Hilary Duff posters on my wall to go with it...
Plus every other poster inside years worth of Total Girl and Girlfriend magazines 😎
But incase you didn't know already, I fangirl the most over the Little Mermaid 🧜🏼♀️
I watched it when I was about 3yrs old and literally asked @mamma.debs every single day for the next 15+ years to dye my hair bright red, aaaand you had to drag me out of the ocean every summer.
First in, last out every day! 🌊
I was 20 when I finally stopped asking her and started telling her to dye it bright red (she doubles as my hairdresser too - bonus fact, I've never been to a proper hair salon!)
I'm now 25 (for another couple of weeks anyway) and still that little girl at heart.
I live on the outskirts of the big smoke (no pun intended 😬) that is Auckland with my partner of 7 years @alex.k.wells and our furbaby Malinky 🐈
I'm the epitome of my Zodiac signs,
Scorpio sun 🦂☀
Leo moon 🦁 🌕
Rooster 🐓 🇨🇳
(what a fierce combination if I do say so myself 🤔) .
I grew up in the 'winterless' north on a kiwifruit orchard 🥝
And I'm the eldest of 3 girls. .
My entrepreneurial spirit started at a very young age, I was <10 when I figured out my parents were not morning people 💡
So I got them to pay me to wake up my sisters and make their lunches so they wouldn't have to 💁♀️
I then upgraded to orchard work where I could choose my hours as long as the job got done 😎
And then onto babysitting, catering and selling by far the most Cadbury Chocolate boxes to fundraise a school trip to England... Again, all jobs that I could work on my own terms. 🙌
So you can imagine my frustration when I graduated from uni, started my amazing 9-5 job and found I was suddenly bound by someone else's time & money restraints 😲
So I'm building myself a career with Arbonne where I can free myself and those around me.
No regrets 🙅♀️
I'm giving that little girl everything she wanted.
Back it up and meet my friends.
💛 Last week I had a consultion with an Endometriosis specialist,Simon Jones. I walked out of my appt with tears in my eyes, not because I was upset but because for the first time in over 8 years living with debilitating pelvic pain,I felt a sense of hope. I cannot even begin to describe how incredible & reassuring it felt for my chronic pain to be validated and to be taken seriously for once.
🌻 I found out I not only have Endometriosis, but it appears I also have Adenomyosis. Which is similar to Endo but it's where the endometrial cells grow inside the muscle wall of the uterus- This definitely explains the intense pressure I feel into my uterus! I started a new medication called Zoladex which turns off estrogen production & shuts everything down temporarily to see if it will give me relief from my Adeno pain (I'll go into greater detail about this & Adenomyosis in another post).
I'm taking HTR (Hormone therapy replacement) while on Zoladex.
I'll see Simon in Nov to see how I'm doing on Zoladex and to discuss doing another laparoscopy to futher investigate my endo. I'm finally on the right track with managing my endo (& now Adeno too). 💛
