Day 48 / B E H O L D
Behold, a new day is dawning.. The sun is rising on a new season, a new decade, a new tide. Through the power of the testimony, through the stories in this book, through the faith and hope of those in this city, sweeping across this nation, echoing throughout the earth. Behold, He is doing a new thing.

RUE DE 10510| The perfection of imperfection
We were fortunate to spend a summer holiday in Tuscany. A destination which had been on the top of our list for a number of years, but never really happened. We had our eye on a luxurious, idyllic agriturismo just steps from the beach. On one side was the rolling countryside and on the other our beloved Mediterranean. Throughout the whole of romantic Tuscany, this was truly a unique place. We saw the perfect picture coming into our minds. We’d heard that this region has a stunning countryside and grape growing area but that the coast isn’t the most beautiful. But as we love the sand and salt sea, we thought we could have ‘the best of both worlds’. Expectations were high.
On paper it seemed to be ideal, but the closer to our destination, the closer the industrial towers from the Port came into view and the further the vineyards seemed to be. We searched diligently for winding, hilly roads, but with no result. The driveway to our accommodation was completely in line with the image from the many travel brochures, but from our terrace we had a view of the high towers of the Port instead of the rolling hills and vineyards. And the cars racing along the highway didn’t sound too far away either. Bye bye perfect picture. The result of too high expectations, I guess.
Just a short line from one of our journals. To read the complete story, see link in bio!
This October we are receiving a special offering to invest in the ministry of Parkview Church. So many in the past have made sacrifices to make a way for us. Now it’s our turn to invest in the one’s God will bring in the next season. Our goal is $15,000 in October. Please pray about how you could participate beyond your regular giving. #reallifestories#parkviewguelph#parkviewchurch#guelph

This mirror and I go way back y’all. So I spent last night at my parent’s house, and this mirror caught my attention.
15 years ago we moved into this house, and this mirror has been here ever since.
I “grew up” in front of this mirror.
Countless last minute getting ready sessions.
Endless amounts of lip gloss applied in front of this mirror, before a date.
Catching my reflection when sneaking back in the house at 2 or 3 am #oops#rulebreaker
Last minute checking my outfits before running out the door for school, or a party 💁🏼♀️ #justsayin
You get the point by now. Goodness gracious, what my 31 year old self would tell my 16 year old self. But really, this reflection sums it all up. “Your light and grace shine bright just like they did the first time you looked in this mirror nearly two decades ago. The journey you’ve walked, and at times sprinted, has made you who you are today. Keep shining my dear because your purpose hasn’t even reached full potential yet.” THAT is what I felt last night as I looked in this mirror for the umpteenth thousandth time. Thanks mom + dad for keeping some things consistent 😉 I’m pretty sure I needed that message from your mirror last night.
Yet, ppl on this app are obsessed with celebraties, false prophets.

I have nobody. I live alone. Sometimes I go to play with the children of this neighborhood. But they do not take me to participate in their games. They laugh at me because I have no idea where my parents live. They mocked me by calling my parents names. I do not mind. Humiliation is a part of my life. That’s why nowadays, all the time I play alone. You will not feel bad anymore when you learn how to enjoy yourself alone. That’s why I stopped looking for friends. I am happy and can move about freely now. By the way, I call myself Bird; isn’t that a good name? - Pakhi

Zlatco is a local from Ugljan, a little island across from Zadar, Croatia. He is a plumber and a wise man. He was born in this beautiful island and has never lived anywhere else. He welcomed me with fruits from his garden and a free ride to my rental home. He is kind and compassionate and has only lived in a reality where time passes slowly, and where life is enjoyed at a different pace•
This wonderful man reminds me of the place where humanity should go back to. He reminds me of the time we lived without distractions, and fully with our hearts. What a beautiful start of the day I was gifted by this man. Thank you Zlatco 🙌💖 Forever grateful! #croatia#uglianisland#travel#traveldiary#kindness#travel#travelgram#reallifestories

Day 49 / S H I N E
Do you remember that first encounter with God? The racing of your heart. The overwhelming embrace. Everything began to shine a little brighter, or a lot brighter. The air seemed cleaner, your heart felt lighter. The world took on a whole new shine. Maybe you haven't had that moment yet, maybe that moment for you is just around the corner.. Maybe you'll find that moment in one of the pages of this book. As you read and glimpse the love of God through the encounters of others.. Maybe that loved one you have been praying for will encounter God through these stories..
🚨🚨 HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT! 🚨🚨
Cute outfits make you work harder during your workouts! 😂😂
Kinda kidding! What actually helped me to work harder today was knowing I have a whole team of accountability buddies waiting for me to post my sweaty selfie!
I said in my stories earlier that I really wasn’t in the mood to workout today, especially cause playing with a puppy can be pretty tiring on it’s own! But I talked to some of the gals in our group (shoutout to @1luckylou for the support), pulled up my big girl pants, and pressed play!
Where do you think you could be this time next year if you had people literally cheering you on and encouraging you to stick to your goals and commitments every day?
There’s never going to be a perfect time to start- so start NOW! I have 3 spots left in my October boot camp, and registration closes TOMORROW! Don’t wait til the new year to work on creating healthier habits. DM me for info today- what’s the harm in learning more? 🤷🏻♀️

DAY 50!!! / R U N N I N G
Do you remember when you stopped running? Or perhaps you still are running.. running from, running to, running ragged. Afraid to be still for too long; long enough to hear that still small voice?
Paint the wall💛. Long time ago I read an interview with the founder of @chobani about the early days of the 😋 company. He faced pretty the same “what to do next?” kind of question. Instead of sitting😬 and thinking 🤯 about all the possible moves, he and his team simply started with fixing the 1 thing that felt obvious to be fixed - painting the wall of the factory. .
I 💛 this approach. It’s better to start somewhere and the answer will come. I don’t like sitting around and waiting and thinking too much. The motion helps to calm the brain and allows new ideas 💡to come.
Today it just happened that I had some questions and 💯 needed to paint the wall😀. It’s still a little bit wet. So I’ll show you the final result tomorrow. Painting the wall in bright warm yellow was a little bit scary 😬. I never used such a bright colors. But I’m happy that I took the risk. The result is 💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛.
How do you handle tricky things? I’ll be happy to read your tips and life hacks in comments 🦊

Just getting surprise attack kisses from mom’s piglet 💋
And now I’m listening to her gently snoring next to me, Bosco’s snoozing nearby, Harvey girl is curled up on the back of the couch, and KitKat and Houdini are running around chasing each other around the house 🤣 #itsazoo#wouldntchangeathing
There was a girl who adopted a Quarter Horse mare. This mare was not what she expected. Being a rescue, once the mare was healthy again, she proved to be dangerous. Throwing you off at every chance she had. Biting you. Kicking you. Dragging you through a field.
The girl, determined to not give up, tried over and over. She tried many things and reached out to several trainers in an attempt to find something that worked. While she was given a decent amount of tips, tricks, and advice, nothing seemed to work. The mare was still the same, unhappy horse.
The girl began to lose hope. If no progress was ever made with the mare, then what was the point? What was the point of trying and nothing happening? It wasn't until someone reached out to her and gave her words that changed her life.
"Have you ever considered that maybe the reason you're not getting anywhere with that mare is because you see a reflection of yourself in her, and that scares you?"
Instantly the girl kept trying. She delved into the horses brain and how it worked. Studying behavior, equine anatomy, the list goes on. The mare went from throwing her rider at every moment to a horse who allowed a rider. A horse who didn't mind being ridden tackless alongside the main road, listening to the human, the human listening to her, and two beings becoming one.
The most important thing to remember is to never give up. Things will get rough, but it's all a part of God's master plan. If it were not for that mare, that girls life would never have been changed. And if it were not the girl, that horse may not have lived out her days in a happy, healthy environment. If it were not for the person who encouraged the girl, the girl may have given up her passion altogether. Encourage others. Lift others up. And start a chain reaction of hope, faith, and love.
