Waiting for the flood to go down, through the rain season.
Each year, In January and February, heavy rains can destroy and block roads in Peru. That was the case at the small village of Pescadores, where a small portion of the road was totally inundated. Hundreds of cars and buses, from each side of this new river had to wait 10 hours and the work of 3 machine to cross it. For the inhabitants of Pescadores, these floods are the opportunity to sell water, fruits, breakfast and food at high prices. A few Peruvians told me that they are protesting against the creation of a bridge by the government for this reason. The woman on the picture stayed on her seat 2 hours, looking at all the movements and agitation of the event.
