This is what happiness looks like! •
I want to give a huge shout out to @alijohnsonphotography for mentoring me these past few days! There are certain kinds of photography that set my soul on fire. I found Ali in a private group I belong to of professional photographers when she shared that a lighting company @paulcbuffinc asked to feature her in “The Story Behind the Shot” for a Senior shoot in Professional Photographer magazine. •
The more I studied Senior High school photography the past couple of years, the more I realized what I like and want to provide for my clients involved growing in my expertise of how do use an off-camera flash. •
Making decisions on what equipment to invest in became overwhelming to say the least! Not only are the options endless, but they are also extremely expensive! Mentoring allowed me to touch all the lights and see how they work. Since I met with Ali, I can be completely confident now on what I need to buy in order to accomplish the type of photography I want to add as options for clients that are impossible to achieve with just natural lighting. Off camera flash is definitely not needed all of the time, but it is required for more complex advanced shots and most definitely useful in everyday situations when you can’t control a sunny day! •
I’m ready to take it to the next level! Of course, it will take time to become proficient like those in the professional photography industry who I truly admire, but am excited to start this new journey and add this into my business in the future! •
I am truly grateful for the awesome community of #professionalphotographers that surround me daily locally, online and now nationally from attending different workshops and groups over the past several years. You have all inspired me to keep pushing creatively and growing in my expertise professionally. •
