At one point in time, I could relate to this topic on so many levels. I was overly dramatic about how everything and everyone else “made” me feel.😳 I felt so entitled. I had the victim mentality figured out. Until, I realized the way I felt was no one else’s responsibility, but MINE.🥰
Our past experiences have contributed to the beautiful people we are today, but ultimately, our life reflects the decisions WE make. 🌾Other people should not influence our state of happiness or dictate our current mood.🧘🏽♂️
Sure it feels good to be supported. It can be beneficial to engage in opportunities for help and encouragement. Just be sure these connections are effective. Make sure you’re gaining insight and not solely seeking comfort.💛✨

There is so much power in asking a question. This especially applies to a relationship. If you find yourself in a disagreement or argument, asking questions is key. When you ask a question, you open the pathways of communication to seek to understand. You make it safe for the person on the other end of the conversation to share, be honest, and express how they feel. It creates a safe space to share when you can ask a question, receive it, then work to ind a solution. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Whenever people find out I’m a work from home momma who homeschools, part of me wants to end the conversation as quickly as possible. Inevitably it always leads to me wanting to burst into tears. 😭
I’m told some of the nicest things but all I want to do is breakdown and cry about how hard it is to keep it all together. I don’t do it because it’s easy or admirable. I do it because it somehow works for my family. 💁🏽♀️ Even on the days when I forget where I put the karate belt for safe keeping, or I do the laundry but forget to put it in the drier, or a last minute meeting means we have left overs instead of me cooking for lunch. 🙈
While I can list all of the ways I struggle and feel like a failure, others always remind me of the fact that I’m doing my best. Doing the best I can to manage a team, run my house, and raise girls who are kind, caring, and compassionate. 🙋🏽♀️ So while I might cry out of frustration some nights or wallow in disappointment other days, there are moments like this, when I see smiles this big and joy that runs deep that I realize I don’t have to be a perfect mom or even the best mom. 🤔
I just need to keep doing what’s best for my family and the best I can. Some days that means I kill it. Most days that means “good enough” cuts it. ✔️ So momma, if today is one of those days where you feel like you’re drowning, a few weeks ago, I watched my little one miss out on getting a stripe on her belt because we couldn’t find it... turns out I put it in the diaper bag for safe keeping. AND the very next day, I washed my oldest’s martial arts uniform and FORGOT to put it in the drier until 15 minutes before it was time to go to class! 🤦🏽♀️ Some days suck and we’re not on our A game. Other days, things work out better than we plan. Ahh the ebbs and flow of life. Take the days as they come and choose to see the good in yourself every day, even in the midst of the mess because that’s how we get through. 🌤
Side note- she got her stripes and passed yellow belt testing 🙌

If you master your internal/mental game, it's game over. Period. Everything you need for a phenomenal life experience is already within your grasp at that point. So... it's pretty freaking important!
