During open carpal tunnel release surgery, the transverse carpal ligament is cut, which releases pressure on the median nerve and relieves the symptoms of carpal tunnel syndrome. An incision is made at the base of the palm of the hand. This allows the doctor to see the transverse carpal ligament. After the ligament is cut, the skin is closed with stitches. The gap where the ligament was cut is left alone and eventually fills up with scar tissue. If you have open carpal tunnel release surgery, you typically do not need to stay in the hospital. It is usually done under local anesthetic, and you can go home on the same day.Dr Ritthy Sovann offers this service and after hours appointments are available 📞9️⃣2️⃣5️⃣9️⃣5️⃣9️⃣7️⃣1️⃣ Check out Dr Sovann online www.highroadspecialists.com.au #carpeltunnel#procedure#perform#offered#perth#wa#day#surgery#appointmentsavailable#high#road#specialists#after#hours#also#vasectomy#diabetes#burns#soft#tissue#injury
Carbon footprint Friday. What a day. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We thought to ourselves, what can we write about our carbon footprint when the Amazon is currently up in flames? 🔥 Turning off our lights when we leave the room is no longer enough. It’s helpful, but that is no longer going to cut it! We need to stand up for Mother Nature, and start doing MORE, because when we know better (which we do), we need to DO BETTER.
In terms of what you can do today, we recommend firstly, reading the Earth Hero blog post on carbon emissions (https://earthhero.com/carbon-emissions/). 📝
Secondly, we recommend sitting down with yourself, your housemate or your partner and doing a ‘stocktake’ of all the areas in your life where you could possibly reduce your carbon emissions. 🔎
Then, consider pledging $10 a month or making a one-off donation to an organisation that will genuinely help to protect our Earth and offset our emissions. You can find some suggestions here: https://www.fastcompany.com/90392750/9-ways-to-help-the-amazon-rainforest-right-now-as-fires-burn. 💵
We hope this can help you to get started on making a difference today, and know that what you do in your daily life does have an impact. 🌏
We’ll see you tomorrow for the last post of this year’s #sustainableipswichweek! ♻️
And it is never too late to get involved, so be sure to visit Ipswich.qld.gov.au/suistainableipswichweek and share your week #sustainableipswich.
