Waidmannsheil Papa!😊🦌 #Damhirsch#abnorm#schaufler#damschaufler#jagd#hunting#nontypical#buck#fallow#papa#reilmann#hunterbrothers
These two. Ophelia has made him work hard for her love and affection. She really has a strong preference for her Mama, and only tolerates others, including her Papa, in very small bits (like barely a few minutes). I don’t know if it’s because she’s getting older or because I’ve been consistently working the last two weeks and I’m not home to take her from my (very capable) husband when she’s starts crying (I always just take her because I don’t want to hear her cry). BUT For the first time ever, she fell asleep on him, at 5 months old, this past week when I was at work. He had a big smile when I walked in from work and she was passed out in his arms. She also gets excited when she sees him and laughs and squeaks and is finally letting him in on her sweet love. I imagine it’s been hard for him. He loves babies, though he probably won’t admit it. I remember when Avery was born (and he worked away from home 4 days a week) he told me leaving her to go to work felt like when he was a kid with a brand new toy and had to leave for school and couldn’t play with his new toy 🤣😂🤣. He’s currently downstairs making breakfast, with Ophelia, as I type this. She’s been with him for the last hour and is completely content. This makes my heart happy 💖
