Nutrition challengers! Second week is almost over and I’ve heard the meal prep is really giving some a hard time! Relax! Make it simple. I like this organization in the fridge! It can be helpful, visually but also just organizing where to grab can be helpful too. I don’t always bag and wrap all my meals. Sometimes I just make batches and then have veggies and other stuff to mix and match with. B-Complex Vitamin - say whatttt?
B vitamins are very important for many roles and functions in the body. These vitamins are water-soluable, therefore not stored in the body, and must be replenished each day through diet or supplementation.
A B “Complex” vitamin, typically has all 8 B vitamins packed into one.
-B5 (pantothenic acid)
Each B vitamin has important functions/benefits. To sum up some overall functions/benefits:
-ENERGY! converting food to 💡
-DNA production and repair
-red blood cell production
-neurotransmitters and neuro function
To get these vitamins in your daily diet, you could eat:
-various meats and fish
-organ meats (liver)
-sunflower seeds and almonds
-fruits (avocado, banana, citrus)
-leafy greens (my favorite!)
-eggs and dairy
Always recommend food first! If demands are higher and it is harder to replenish, a B-complex could be a good option.

This was taken some time in the early 90’s…Not sure off the top of my head when exactly…I was obviously pretty young.
How many of you have heard that you should “eat your carrots if you want good eyesight”?
Yeah, me too.
Well, guess what…That was a lie. We spent a large amount of our childhood at my grandparents farm where they grew carrots…and we ate them almost every day. And you know what? Every person in my family has glasses of some kind (reading, near/far sighted, astigmatism, you name it). I was the lucky winner and have multiple issues with my eyes.
And you know what else? I still eat carrots because they’re GOOD FOR ME. I eat other vegetables too because they’re GOOD FOR ME.
It makes me so crazy when people say they want to get healthy or lose weight but they “don’t like vegetables”…Insert audible eye roll here.
Guess what? YOU’RE AN ADULT! PULL UP YOUR BIG GIRL PANTS AND EAT YOUR DAMN VEGGIES.
Okay. Rant over.
But seriously, eat your vegetables. You’ll feel good on the inside and out.

But in all honesty.. on my morning walk with my babes 🐶 this morning, I listened to a really incredible podcast called the higher self by @iamsahararose. This podcast was all about why you’re not meant to be liked by everyone. I don’t know about you guys, but I am a people pleaser. I am constantly worried about others thoughts of me, whether I’m living up to their expectations, & I try to be the kind of person that would be hard NOT to like. But why? What capacity do you have available to chase you’re dreams when you’re too busy chasing others approval? There is a difference between wanting and needing to be liked. Needing to be liked will come with self sacrifice you’ll have to make in order to be universally liked.
Lately I’ve been working on living my truth. To me that means being real, being kind, & working towards pleasing myself. I’ve been rejecting the urge to change who I am or what I like in order to “fit in”. No matter how amazing of a person you may be, some people are just not going to like you & that is OKAY. Once you’re able to let that go & spend that time working on yourself, your soul will be so much more nourished! ❤️
I may have jumped the gun on this recipe, as fall just started & im over here wanting to make gingerbread men 😂 but these gingerbread truffles turned out way too good that I’ll probably make them so much I’ll be sick of gingerbread when the season finally comes 😂 They’re full of @georgiagrinders Cashew butter + @nooshbrands Almond flour + @wholesomesweet Molasses + spices + @sunfood Black Maca + sweetened with a mixture of @lakantosweetener & @coombsmaple Maple syrup.
