Still remember the first time Master @kamalkamalm introduce me to the wheel pose. My lower back was weak, my shoulder and chest not opened with my legs shaking like crazy, at that moment I almost thought I am going to break my spine 🙈
They say it’s very important to trust your teacher and then learn to trust yourself.🧘🏻♀️
I am so grateful that I have my Masters @kamalkamalm and @aarya_kuldeep always pushes me beyond my limit, giving me so much support and guidance!🙏🏻
Will never stop practising, forever your student and
THANK YOU SO MUCH! ❤️
Seychelles Beach on The Greek Island Ikaria where people live longer than just about anywhere else in the world.
Now, what are the major factors, that give Ikarians longevity? Researches have shown that there are many key elements that lead to their longevity and here are just a few: -good physical condition, due to daily exercise of manual work and rural life. The daily walks, which includes mountain hikes enhances good physical condition. -midday rest, even if it’s a short nap, has proven to protect and improve heart function. -the Mediterranean diet, combined with fresh, organic produce, that’s consumed on the island. This includes vegetables, fruits, fish, olive oil, local honey and of course the famous red wine. Surveys conducted also show that a significant factor in the longevity of Ikarians is the consumption of Greek coffee and mountain tea, which are key antioxidants for the body. -the minimal use of medicine. -sexual activity, even in older people. -strong family and social ties between Ikarian people. -and of course, the relaxed pace of daily life, without anxiety and stress, and a full of optimism attitude. #bluezones#ikaria#greece#seychellesikaria#greekislands
In yoga many ask about moving to the next level. What exactly are they asking for?
It is not the asanas alone the are part of a yoga practice.
Do you choose to live a yogi life?
The Yoga Sutras of Pantanjali's beliefs are known as the eight limbs of yoga. What are the eight limbs and why are these important? Let's take each limb weekly and discuss the importance limb by limb.
Yama (abstinences - attittudes toward our environment) yamas transform negative energy to cultivate peace and positivity.
1. Ahimsa - Non-harming and non-violence. "This is the key, the sages tell us, to maintaining both harmonious relationships in the world and a tranquil inner life".
As your practice of yoga gets on a deeper level ahimsa becomes more of a natural habit that you are not really conscious of following as a rule. Being kinder and more forgiving to yourself and others.
2. Satya - truthfulness
Seeing things as they are rather than how you would like them to be. Sometimes we have to look deep inside ourselves and take time to examine our tendancies. Facing our fears to be our true selves and become more compassionate as human beings.
3. Asteya - non-stealing
Not only real tangible objects but also non-tangible. One of the ways that helps this practice is giving to others. Whether it be time, food, money. What others may need more than we need ourselves. This practice of giving is infinitely gratifying. Wealth is not perceived as being rich with money but there is a bigger picture here. You may be rich with love.
4. Brahmacharya - right use of energy. To become balanced with your senses. "Freedom from dependancies and cravings to create an inner joy within"
5. Aparigraha -non-greed. We do not truly own or possess anything on this earth. "A yogic maxim says, “All the things of the world are yours to use, but not to own", this is the true essence of aparigraha" One does not want to feel dependent on another either.
To be truly free this is a needed practice.
Yamas practiced allow us to be better people. rue to ourselves and others. To obtain inner happiness practicing the Yamas is essential.

She believes that yoga is about connecting to the heart, cultivating awareness and intelligent alignment. On and off the mat. To heal the world we must first heal ourselves and yoga can be a tool to find the ground from which we give back to the world. Caressa’s happy place is when she makes intuitive crystal grid artwork, combining art with yoga to help others connect to their intuition and create straight from the soul makes her heart smile.
