So this Saturday started out pretty awesome! I went to the gym for the first time in about 2 months and had a killer workout, then I headed to the mall to get my eyebrows done. I had about 30 mins to burn before they opened so I decided to stop into @marshalls and just see if they had any #raedunn. Much to my surprise there was a dad/daughter team looking in boxes on a tank and they graciously shared this mug with me!! I always hear the dunn hunt horror stories but I can say that I have been blessed and only ever meet amazing people that are more than willing to share. This is my first Halloween piece and I couldn’t be more excited 🤗
Warning: this post is written in the language of sarcasm- of which I am FLUENT in! If you do not like speaking or reading sarcasm and are easily offended- scroll on please! It’s Just my wacky sense of humor.. Anyway, I’m often asked why I crochet...in a word - STRESS! I have 4 kids, a house to run, mom taxi - ing all over town to activities, school starting, and because I just didn’t have enough to do - I started a business (of which people are loving as much as I do - but I digress) ... So it’s either drink wine, slap people in a very “Moonstruck/Cher - snap out of it” way (you young ‘uns are gonna have to YouTube that one) or crochet! I love my occasional glass of wine (as all moms with kids do and I have been known to do crocheting and wine -ing together but not too much as you can wind up with a wonky project) but slapping people is WRONG! So I consider myself charitable by crocheting so I don’t have to slap people! So I retreat to my “crochet bubble” and no one is allowed in. It’s my happy place - the place where I go create pretty things while letting go of the urge to slap people.
Long story short, if you are under stress and slapping people (SLAPPING PEOPLE IS WRONG) I can teach you the art of crochet therapy. That’s right, I’m a therapist - I’m restoring peace and calm to people who are under stress!
Once I teach you to crochet, don’t wait till the week before to make a baby blanket for your sister’s baby shower - you will have undone all of my hard work of de-stressing you because we all know a “quick” project in the crochet world is anything 2 weeks and under - of which that blanket for your sister’s baby does not fall in that category!
And remember- SLAPPING PEOPLE IS WRONG! .
Happy National Breast feeding month mamas ❤️ breast feeding looks many different ways! Sometimes it’s nursing from the breast 🤱🏻sometimes it’s your milk through a bottle (exclusively pumping). Sometimes it’s someone else’s (donor) milk in a bottle. Sometimes it’s mixed with formula in a bottle (supplementing). No matter how you feed your baby, no matter where and when you feed your baby, rather you choose to cover yourself, or choose not to; It should all be accepted, encouraged, and supported. We are here to make ourselves and babies comfortable, not everyone else 🤱🏻💁🏻♀️🍼👶🏻❤️ #nationalbreastfeedingmonth
You’re F O U R !! 🌿
I can’t believe this day has come. You are no longer classified as a toddler or a baby. You will be heading off to school, making friends and learning how to take on the world. You’ve become such a little man in such a short amount of time. You are kind, giving, optimistic, and open heartedly the sweetest person I’ve ever met! I hope you never change!! Happy birthday sweet boy!! 💙💙
