Hey everyone! I'm starting to accumulate way to much photo and video from all my production traveling so from today and on I want to challenge myself to make 1 post a day for the next 10 days and telling you all about my experiences. Let's hope I can push myself enough to be more productive. I've also created a new Facebook page (I know so outdated in 2019 😂) to have one more outlet for my creativity and be able to share more of my workflows with everyone. In case you want to follow search for Gon Laserna Visual Artist on FB.
Day 1 of 10 postchallenge. •Why Raw is so Powerful•
Today I'm sharing something a bit different, the original photo was taken by my talented friend and mountain man @mururesilvestre who is always surprising me with a different approach to astrolandscapes. We where not really doing anything specific just drinking tea and chilling in between photo sessions (we always use our RGB lights when going on these trips, and this night started out very dark), Gabo got this awesome shot with his Nikon D750 on a 85mm 1.8 Nikor lens with a 3 sec expo, f3.2 iso 1100. So basically you can recover an insane amount of info shooting raw (as most of you know), I was super impressed with the color change without destroying the image. To make it clear it's a composite and I made a sky replacement with one of my own MW shots, also tried to maintain the original background blur adding it on the sky in post using the tiltshift plugin in PS. Pffffuu gotta end this crazy rant! 😅 Hope you liked my style of edit, I'll post more of my stuff and workflow soon. Bye!

I had an opportunity the other week to play a bit with some Milky Way photography. I stopped along Pine Creek in Tioga County and slept in a van down by the river. #chrisfarley#milkywayphotography
