On the edge of the sky at the Holy Monastery of Great Meteoron, the oldest one in Meteora - built in the 1300s. To visit, it is a stair descent and then a climb - something I’d recommend doing before it opens at 9am to both avoid the heat (in summer) and get slightly ahead of the crowds piling up from the tour buses. It costs 3 Euro to get in and no shorts or bared shoulders are allowed! Extra restrictions on women - you have to be wearing a skirt or dress. Do this in advance and you get yourself a few extra minutes of people-free views while others have to borrow a (free) wrap at the entrance to meet modesty guidelines.
