When it comes to nutrition, there is so much information coming at you all the time. Eat this, don’t eat that. Fats make you fat; carbs make you fat; sugar makes you fat AND sick… With all of this information, it’s hard to know what’s right, and what's wrong.
So, where does that leave us when it comes to sugar in fruit, nature’s sweet treat. A medium banana, for instance, contains 14 grams of sugar. An apple can contain up to 19 grams of sugar. A cup of chopped mango can leave you with a whopping 23 grams of sugar.
However, while added sugars are empty calories that provide no additional nutritional value (besides energy) whatsoever, fruits on the other hand are packed with much more than just naturally-occurring sugar, including water, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and fibre. Fruits are nutrient-dense! So while it's probably best not to have your cake and eat it too, you can have your sugar in fruit as part of a healthy overall nutrition plan!

I run this path by the beach often. It’s popular with runners, walkers, cyclists, etc. Some runners I pass, and some runners pass me. Today, a young woman went by me like I was standing still; now, I have to say that in my head, any runner on the road with me is competition 🤪 I hustled to try and keep up for a minute but that was not in the cards today. I dropped back, but, I didn’t drop all the way back to the pace I was at before she went by. I knew I in those moments that I had been cheating myself 😑. After awhile, in the distance I saw her slow to a walk. When I finally caught up to her, I thanked her for making me faster today. She beamed. I ran on, racing myself home.

You've been lied to…
And this lie has been derailing your fitness journey for YEARS.
Here's the thing I SO often hear when I start working with a new client: >>"I need to get better at staying on track with my diet. I need to get better at dieting."<< And I GET why they feel that way.
It's pretty simple, right?
You want to lose weight... Part of why you feel you can't is because you can't seem to stick to your diet (are you nodding your head in agreement?). You feel like your inability to stick do your diet is the number one reason you don't get results (am I hitting a nerve?). And so the problem to solve seems to be... "I need to be a better, stricter dieter." (am I reading your mind??) NEWS FLASH: That is a lie that diet culture wants you to believe, but it's NOT the truth.
The reason you haven't reached your fitness goals is not first and foremost a diet problem, or even a physical problem really.
It's a mindset problem. >> You believe you'll never be consistent, so you aren't.
>> You believe you'll never reach your goals, so you don't.
>> You believe you're a victim of the weight you carry, a victim of life and circumstance, so you never step into your power and take control of your life. >> You believe you don't have what it takes, so you never show up and take what you want.
>> You believe dieting and working out is supposed to be hard, so it is.
>> You believe you're restricted from eating what you want, so you feel restricted, and you do restrict. >> You believe you're just going to fail this time, just like every other time, and so you do fail.
Your lack of weight loss, consistency & physical transformation is not a physical problem... it's a mindset one.
If it were JUST a physical problem... every diet you ever tried would work.
Because you would just stick to it, and as long it was the right diet, you'd lose weight.
In just 10 days, you could be on the path to the transformation you've been fighting for for years. Let’s do this. Apply for your spot (Link in bio) ✌🏽 @leanbodiesbyjay
