Today’s shoulder workout was a serious wake up call. Seeing how much I’ve lost in strength and what I need to do to recover and get pass where I was. 
I never want to be the same or hit the same goal as in the past.  BETTER, STRONGER, POWERFUL!

When it comes to nutrition, there is so much information coming at you all the time. Eat this, don’t eat that. Fats make you fat; carbs make you fat; sugar makes you fat AND sick… With all of this information, it’s hard to know what’s right, and what's wrong.⁠

So, where does that leave us when it comes to sugar in fruit, nature’s sweet treat. A medium banana, for instance, contains 14 grams of sugar. An apple can contain up to 19 grams of sugar. A cup of chopped mango can leave you with a whopping 23 grams of sugar.⁠

However, while added sugars are empty calories that provide no additional nutritional value (besides energy) whatsoever, fruits on the other hand are packed with much more than just naturally-occurring sugar, including water, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and fibre. Fruits are nutrient-dense! So while it's probably best not to have your cake and eat it too, you can have your sugar in fruit as part of a healthy overall nutrition plan!⁠

I run this path by the beach often. It’s popular with runners, walkers, cyclists, etc.  Some runners I pass, and some runners pass me. Today, a young woman went by me like I was standing still; now, I have to say that in my head, any runner on the road with me is competition 🤪 I hustled to try and keep up for a minute but that was not in the cards today. I dropped back, but, I didn’t drop all the way back to the pace I was at before she went by. I knew I in those moments that I had been cheating myself 😑. After awhile, in the distance I saw her slow to a walk. When I finally caught up to her, I thanked her for making me faster today. She beamed. I ran on, racing myself home.
