Just a tip for those of you that really struggle to control what you eat.
Any fool can tell you not to eat a certain food to lose weight. That's just cutting out calories.
Instead of thinking you have to eat less of one type of food (insert "bad food" here). 🍫 🍩 🍞 🍕🍰🍪🥤
Try adding in more of the nutritious foods (e.g fruit, veg, lean proteins etc)🍎🍌🍓🥦🥬🥕🥩🥚🍗
Won't this lead to you eating more calories you ask??
Yes and no....
More food means more calories. But if you're eating more fruit/veg you'll have less room for the other food that you usually over indulge in.
A diet higher in fruit, veg, and protein can help you improve your health by increasing your vitamin, mineral and fibre intake. Which leads to higher satiety and better awareness of fullness cues. Better awareness of hunger/fullness cues can help control your intake.
Think eat what you need, not what you want. (And if you still want that chocolate bar, have the damn thing!!)
So in the long term teaching you better eating habits is better than saying just eat less. And this in turn can lead you to a healthier body and life. ✌🏻
8 week before and after photographs of Davina O'Neill. Davina started training in Early Morn Muscle Camp after a break from training due to pregnancy. Although she was never carrying excess weight her goal was to tone up more and to get leaner for her holidays.
And as we can see in the photos she did an amazing job of achieving her goal.
For a lot of our clients the transformation photos are only one part of the transformation. What you can't see is the transformation in strength and overall fitness that Davina has developed during her early morning sessions.
From struggling with band assisted chin ups at the start to now being nearly strong enough to complete a full rep unassisted. From only being able to perform bodyweight squats to now loaded barbell squats. And more. All these factors add up in helping to transform someone's physique, strength and confidence in the weights room.
Another example of what females can accomplish when they prioritise strength training in combination with high intensity aerbic exercise and flexibility development.
Training with a group of like minded people all pushing in the same direction helps the likes of Davina to reach new heights in strength & fitness. The group comradery always helps drive people on to hit goals that they would struggle with on their own.
Well done Davina, a fantastic transformation and a massive congratulations from all the coaching staff and training partners for doing an exceptional job.
