Way overly stuffed, but colorful 🌈, pan seared @sizzlefishfit halibut tacos for dinner last night. I added roasted sweet potatoes, brussels, zuchinni, avocado, pickled onion, fresh cabbage and kale and used @sietefoods almond flour tortillas—I topped them with @davesgourmetinc jalapeño hot sauce 😍♥️.
Here’s how you sear the fish:
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.
Remove halibut from the packing and pat dry.
Generously season with pepper, garlic, paprika, plus a bit of salt.
Add about 2 tbsp of @chosenfoodsavocado oil (ghee is also a great option) to your cast iron skillet—let it heat up (until you start to see a little smoke).
Add your fish, skin to the side, and cook for 3 minutes per side (make sure not to flip it/ or lift it up in between)
Transfer skillet to oven and roast for 5-7 minutes.
Flake apart using fork, then add to tacos!
