If you think about it, it completely makes sense that with sweat and contact with different fibres and fabrics, our backs go through a lot and often show it via breakouts, rashes, and redness.
In fact, most people with acne have it on the back and chest regions as well. Just like our faces, our backs have glands that can pocket sebum and when not addressed, this sebum can build up and clog your hair follicles on your back leading to congestion, blackheads, and inflammation.
So, what can you do?

As the weather is , to say the least, unpredictable lately, I decided to post this image taken last month to discuss the value of outside spaces (amenity spaces or public realm as we call them within the industry) and other local provision in the context of urban living.
As the population of cities increases and smaller towns are forced to accept their fate as retirement towns, service focused towns or student towns, larger cities seem to struggle looking after their population and catering for some basic needs.
For example, I have often found surprising and disappointing the uneven spread of public realm in areas which would benefit most from it. Areas where the population is bound to nearby areas due to financial reasons ,for example, could benefit from better open spaces to encourage outdoor play and activities.
In London, it is also disappointing the lack of a considered high street provision in many areas where there seems to be minimal food shopping provision for example in a context dominated by discounted luggage or gift stores ,pound shops and nail salons... I strongly think it is a missed opportunity from the community and environmental point of view to think about cities as mono centric rather than Poli (multiple) centric and yet, we see this happening everywhere
Recently I completed a project in North London and because I had to spend more than a reasonable amount of time on site, I got to explore the locality and was pleasantly surprised when I found real everyday offer... Mediterranean mostly, which makes sense because of the cultural traditions of human interactions ....but at the service of and benefiting the entire community.
Meanwhile the high street is decaying and people seem surprised... #london#sommer#urban#archilovers#archhunter#archdaily#home#igerslondon#instatravel#instadesign#instalove#design#style#travel#architecture#architects#urban#heritage#buildings#project#building#ideas#canal
