I modified the Seaside Stroll pattern from @espacetricot to scarf-sized and I love the result! Knitting up BFL DK in Vindolanda for my grandad’s 89th birthday - but I think I’m going to need one for myself too! This pattern was easily modified - I cast on 53 stitches and worked k4, p3 [slip stitch pattern over 39 sts], p3, k4
Вот и пролетели 3 месяца на даче как 3 дня... 🙈

TW: racism. Scroll for the problematic post and some comments.
Woke up this morning to this disgusting thread in one of my groups. I can appreciate the OP's talent but being "old and tired" is no excuse for racism. The thread was supported by the mods who told people to scroll past or they'd be banned, and full of comments in support.
Crocheted thongs and sweary cross stitches are snarky but let's be fucking crystal clear: racism is NOT "mildly offensive" or "snarky" or edgy. It is hurtful, it is harmful, and it is unacceptable. Learn the difference.
I've opted not to tag diversityknitting or other BIPOC spaces because they already know this. White folx, this is on you.

Made this jumper for a little niece who is starting kindergarten. Shetland and Faroe Islands together...does it get any better?! Light gray yarn is Snældan 3-ply but the coral palette in the yoke Jamieson & Smith 2-ply Jumper Weight (held double). 🧶🧡 The pattern is Flói published in Lopi magazine no. 36 but is also on Ravelry.
This week's update will be a smaller update, restocking some colors that have been lacking (like Velociraptor on fingering weights). I was hoping for more colors, but they'll be put in for the next update (yay!). Its been very busy on my side of the world while we come back from our mini vacation, I started a new position at work (yay for promotions!), and we are adding a new member to out little tribe (a little pup named Addy) on top of our already busy lives!
Look for the next update this Saturday at 10 am MDT. 💚🦕

Antiquing by Lynn Everett @floridalynn301 was designed for our Fall 2019 pattern collection. It's knit in Yummy 3-Ply and the colorway is called Antique Brass.
The details really make this sweater: Yummy 3-Ply is round and shows off details perfectly. Antiquing is a cardigan knit from the top down with gently angled fronts edged with tiny mock cables, like that delicate edge around the mirror frame or the edge of an antique tea cart perhaps!
Our concept for the Fall 2019 pattern collection was a weekend getaway - patterns that are great pieces to work on or wear while you're relaxing.
As always, check the link in our profile to get to the pattern and the yarn.

To keep smiling with a genuine smile from the inside... I learned from an early age that so many things are not right and that in so many cases we can make a change and in some cases all we can do is to offer our shoulder for someone else to cry on, give a hug or give encouragement to help the other person see that endurance is needed to keep going on, to move forward and not backwards, with love and not resentment.
And the times I saw genuine smiles like these ones I always thought how strong these women are. Challenging circumstances do not erase happiness. Thinking of how much easier life would be if... does not erase these smiles. But what a lesson I always learned: A genuine smile helps us to be strong, to endure... our attitude helps us to work hard and show what is really important in our life and we never know how our attitude will help someone else to continue their own way carrying themselves with a genuine smile.
And you know what else I learned? That colors improve your mood 🎨 Reason why I love color so much and reason why my feed will always show my love for it.
When you see this picture of beautiful Cartageneras, with these smiles and typical outfits, carrying their work in their hands while having their heads ready to place the fruit bowl on them while walking around, how does it make you feel?
