Does anyone else avoid touristy things because your trapped in a tour, not allowed to explore in your own?
Well, if you do, you understand why after 9 years living only 2.5 hrs from Chattanooga and visiting quite frequently, I never went to Ruby Falls. I just thought you paid a high ticket price to elevator down 26 stories to the falls. Look at it for a few minutes and then rushed out.
GOOD NEWS guys! It’s not actually that short! It’s about an hour and a half tour through the cave, you get to see where Leo Lambert explored and what he crawled through to find Ruby Falls in the 20’s.
It’s actually super cool and absolutely awe inspiring. Being a waterfall 145 ft. y’all and 1,120 ft underground. No one knows where the water comes from. ⠀⠀
Makes me wonder if this is yet another wonder of the world, a little fun get God hid in nature to show us his love and power and creativity.
If you haven’t checked out this fall, I highly recommend it! You don’t have to visit the souvenir shop after to spare ya some tourist overload.
I shall never stop chasing waterfalls! 💦 ⠀⠀

This transformation is from the end of last year. I was following a workout program, I was in some of the best shape I had ever been in, and I was making healthy food choices.
Fast forward to this year and I fell away. I started drinking soda again, I began to fall in to the emotional and stress eating cycle, my life was becoming more sedentary and I was not in a good frame of mind.
Well, life provided a wake up call in the fact that I am quickly getting closer to turning 40! So I had a long talk with myself and went back to what I know!
On Sunday I will be taking measurements and photos of my first phase of MM100 results and I'M TERRIFIED!
But because of my program, I know there will be progress made! I have tried so hard to stay on point with the fitness and nutrition.
No matter what I'm confident I will see change! If not I'm incredibly proud of myself, jumping back in and that makes it all worth it!
Have you been here before? Have you thought about starting something new? My next FALL INTO FITNESS group starts Monday, October 28th.

Accountability and empathy are necessary to work through the nitty gritty aspects of conflicts in order for true connection to flourish.❤️
We have to work through conflicts, understand the conflict at its heart, and transform the conflict for learning about ourselves each other. This sometimes includes our needs, things that hurt us, and taking ownership of actions or things we have done that have harmed others. If others cannot do this for us also then this is not a balanced relationship.✨
Conflict transformation occurs when we really understand the other person and the other person seeks to understand us even though the conversation topic may be uncomfortable. 🙉
The conversation requires accountability, active listening, and vulnerability from both sides to move forward.🦋
Brenè Brown also writes about conflict transformation in her book “Braving The Wilderness”. Here is a small excerpt: ⠀⠀
“One of the most courageous things to say in an uncomfortable conversation is “Tell me more.” Exactly when we want to turn away and change the topic, or just end the conversation, or counter, as you say, we also have the opportunity to ask what else we need to know to fully understand the other person’s perspective. Help me understand why this is so important to you, or help me understand why you don’t agree with a particular idea. And then we have to listen. Really listen. Listen to understand, not about agreeing or disagreeing. We have to listen to understand in the same way we want to be understood.” 💯 ⠀⠀
When was the last time you heard ‘I can’t cry in front of the kids’ ‘I don’t want them to see me hurt’?
The issue is not how your children see you fall, it’s how they watch you rise! ⠀⠀
We are asking young children to understand their emotions when we limit what they see. ⠀⠀
Many mental health conditions are diagnosed as being due to a neurological imbalance!
Yet there is no balance in the lessons we deliver...revel in my happiness but I’ll shield you from my tears! This is just a short term benefit and usual a result of us not understanding how to present ourselves without judgement from our children, hindering them by teaching them positives are ok to share but negative emotions should be hidden.
I look forward to discussing all emotions, triggers and suggested solutions this Sunday so that we can normalise all emotions in the family home and encourage children to share with their grown ups what they are feeling. ⠀⠀
One in eight children in England is living with a mental health problem, according to an NHS report that shows an increase in the conditions over the last decade.
In a class of 30 children, this means four could be expected to be contending with emotional disorders, such as depression and anxiety, behavioural or hyperactive disorders that are impacting their wellbeing.

Me conta, qual sua magia? #ipreview via @preview.app
