Yesterday was a leg day for the books. It’s growing season and I’m doing everything I can go get there 😆 I woke up this morning waking like a giraffe...and that hasn’t happened in a long time. 🦒
So here’s what DESTROYED me:
1. 10 min incline walk/stretching/glute activation exercises
2. Good mornings 3 x 15
3. Squats 3 x 15, 12, 10, 8 (up weight each set)
4. Single leg RDLs 3x10 (each leg)
5. Hip thrusts 4 x 12
6. Single leg glute bridges 4 x 10 (each leg)
7. Bulgarian split squats 3 x 12 (each leg)
8. DB goblet squat 3 x 8-10
9. Hip addiction machine 2 x 15
10. Hip abduction machine 2 x 15
11. 100 walking lunges

Last time I was at @midwestcoastbrewing it was warm outside 😭 Thanks chicago!! Luckily the cold weather brought along a fantastic seasonal brew. You truly don’t know what you have until it’s gone.
Recently I’ve felt very small in my lower body. I talked about it on my story a little bit yesterday, but I haven’t trained legs in a LONG time due to the various injuries I’ve had. Since I started running back in September it has been very inconsistent. I’ve probably trained legs only 4 times, and I haven’t at all in over a month.
This post isn’t a pity party for myself. Even though my knee is still bothering me, I know I will be able to train legs eventually. BUT a reminder to myself and all of you to never take things for granted.
I have never been the biggest fan of training legs. I actually have dreaded most leg days😅. But when you can’t do something for so long, it sucks😕. Even more so, I know I’ve never had the strongest legs (I feel it’s the hardest part for me to grow), but to see your progress slowly go away when it’s out of your control, that’s honestly the hardest part.
Sorry if I’m sounding negative, but I’m just speaking my thoughts🤷🏼♀️. I know I’m not the only one who has ever had an injury and I know there are people who have it worse off than I do.
FYI even though things can be frustrating at times, I’m still a positive person and grateful for what I can do! Life isn’t☀️ & 🌈 24/7!
So next time you don’t want to work out, don’t want to do homework, or don’t want to do something that not everyone has the ability to do. Stop🛑 and remind yourself how blessed you are to do whatever it may be.

With all this rainy weather I forgot how hard it is to show up and get grinding. There’s a million excuses to have, a million reasons to use. But get up and get it done..
Because the key is DISCIPLINE & CONSISTENCY- to do what you can and to find others who will be there pushing you to show up on rainy days
You’re never alone in your journey. It’s doesn’t come easy, it’s not always fun. But if I can do it, you can do it too. With discipline and consistency you can become someone who motivates others to push through the challenge of getting out of bed on a rainy and cold day to get it done. 🤜🏻🤛🏻
