There's a new kid in town!
Finally took the plunge on getting a #hoyakrimsonprincess and just on time for #waxplantwednesday at that!
Love that she has enough green in her to do alright with my North-facing windows.
Already thinking of converting her to #semihydroponics. Anyone done that already or have any tips? Please send them my way!
This starter Princess came in a box that was damaged and contents crushed. I struggled with calling the seller for replacements or nurse them back to health. I chose the latter and this hoya rewarded me with a new stem and seven leaves! Notice the DIY trellis? So giddy...
In hindsight, I should have notified the seller anyway. Oh well😊
I have 3 Hoya Krimson Princesses but this one is the first one I ever purchased. Hopefully one day it’ll flower for me but either way the leafs alone make me so happy to look at. 🌞 I’m about to take my final which will conclude my summer semester. Now...to be productive. ✌🏼 #hoya#plantsofinstagram#mcallentx#hoyakrimsonprincess#friday#plants
i never really understood why people loved hoyas so much until i bought on one a whim! Its cheap, easy to take care of, easy to propagate, and gives the most ADORABLE pink leaves. Talk about statement leaves. Anyways this looks like a milkshake 🍨
Decided to snip ✂️ my hoya krimson princess today! Two of her longest strands had reverted back to green therefore will never produce variegation again, so why not make some classic green hoya carnosa! Because the green has more chlorophyll pigment in it, I also snipped the plant to prevent it from using all its energy into those two strands, yielding (hopefully) more growth into strands with variegated leaves! But how cute do these cuttings look in those mini mason jars? 😍
