5 1/2 hour flight home last night from the east coast with someone in the middle seat touching my knee and jabbing me in the ribs, an 8 year old kicking my seat and turbulence. When we landed early I was so happy but then we got to sit in the plane for an additional 45 minutes. When we finally got to baggage claim, they were only using two, due to the construction. Another 45 minutes later I see my luggage and I grab it and head to the curb where my ride waited. Got home, after grabbing a snack started to head upstairs and noticed that while the luggage looked identical to mine, it had somebody else’s tag on it. I almost had a meltdown. But by some crazy coincidence, the guy worked for my company and was on the same flight back. I called him, he was still at airport hi king someone stole his luggage but he grabbed my luggage, and we met this morning to exchange. By the time this was all over, I was ready to get out and clear my head. Dogs and I had fun playing in a canyon, took my dad (who is 74 and a rockstar) and Chewys brother Bridger. feels good to have my feet on Arizona ground.

Instagram: 😍 waterfall Reality: we tried to stay dry for the first 5 or so miles so we de-booted to bare the first couple freezing river-crossings . After a couple more miles, a handful of river crossings and 1-2 sketchy rock cliffs (with and without chains), we finally gave up on staying dry and settled for soggy, wet boots the rest of this not so successful 14 mile hike all to end up back at said waterfall (so yes under that beautiful blue are some pretty boggy boots).
