TRAINING STYLE & LIFE UPDATE⬇️
BIG THINGS ARE HAPPENIN😎🎉
One of the biggest things college has offered me is OPPORTUNITY!
So much opportunity to learn new things, make new friends and challenge myself to new styles of athleticism.
I loveeeeeee challenging myself.
That’s why I got into bodybuilding 3 years ago and CrossFit this past summer.
I thrive off of that moment in a workout when I don’t know if I can get another rep out or last another second of a sprint.
So when I saw that UT Austin was looking for walk-one for their ROWING team 🚣♀️ I said “I am going all in.”
I’m still trying out for the team so I may not getting on but at the moment, I am training like I am on the team and I am learning how to train like an athlete WITH a team!
I’ve never been on a team, minus soccer in 6th grade, so I am loving the new environment of support and reliance on each other.
TRAINING: I am training 5 times a week for rowing. It’s usually a bit of skill work then 20-40 minutes of a workout on the rowers and 10 mins of core/abs. Rowing requires a lot of explosive energy and power per stroke so I’m training my muscles to move faster with more force.
I just had my coach @Baka ncing_bella change my training to 4 days per week so that I don’t overstress my body but also so that I can keep up my physique and increase my power during rowing.
NUTRITION: My coach is increasing my carbs so that I don’t lose weight, I can build more and so that I have energy throughout every workout.
Other stuff: I’m still going to bjj once or twice per week but because I’m such a beginner it’s really learning technique(aka not very much of a workout). I’m going for defense purposes cuz Austin is full of scary people😂
Overall, I am soooo happy with training and making new friends in these teams/clubs. Yes my energy expenditure is up a tonnnn but I’m loving it and my food has increase like 50carbs in 2 weeks because of it😂😎
So that’s my update on my life, ask away if you have any questions😉

Contrary to what I had hoped, my Flash shirt did NOT make squats move any faster today 🥵
HIITing ya with a little cardio circuit that will in fact make you SWEAT 🥵💦 🌟
1.5 mile run to warmup (substitute for walking or jogging if you’re not used to running for long yet)
30 seconds and repeat 5x and GO:
🔥 Split squat jumps
🔥 Step-up pushups
🔥 Alternating plank pushups
Save and try it for your next workout!
Let’s train our shoulders!💪🏼 Honestly, LOVE shoulder day! But I mean, what gym day do I NOT love?!🙈
Be sure to do a proper warm up before executing this workout!👌🏼 -
1️⃣Smith machine shoulder press SS with bent over rear delt fly. 4 sets of 8-12 reps!
2️⃣Front raise to lateral raise complex, 4 sets of 12 reps. Superset this one with an ab exercise if you’d like!
3️⃣Single arm rear delt cable fly SS with face pulls. 4 sets of 8-12 reps!
That’s it! My shoulders were BURNIN after this one, let me know what you think!
Have a great rest of the day y’all! Remember, our bodies are such a blessing! Do your best to take care of the one you were given!💗 #lesliepereyrafitness#shoulderworkout#shouldersonfire
Fitness is different for everyone. We all have different reasons for starting and reasons that keep us going. At first in my fitness journey I was so in love with it. I enjoyed it so much and was so happy I found something I actually like. However, fitness got to the point where I used to be obsessed over it in an unhealthy way. I would be in the gym for like 2 hours, I’d workout just about every single day and if I had missed a workout or meal I would be mad at not only myself, but the world. It ruined relationships & It came to a point where basically I had let it take over my whole life.
I started to dread going to the gym and fitting all my macros in. It felt more of a chore to do and that’s not what you want fitness to feel like what so ever. Thank goodness that is all over with now and I’ve found a balance.
Now, fitness is a lifestyle. I’ve found a balance that works with where I’m at right now. I still workout 5 days a week, but I don’t let it kill me if I happen to miss a day or even a few. My workouts last 1 hour. Sometimes 1 hour and a half if it’s leg day😂. I actually look forward to working out and lovveeeee the progress that comes with it. Fitness transforms your body, helps you live a healthier life, boosts self confidence and soooo much more.
Fitness is something that I love and I just want anyone who’s interested in fitness and working out, to find what works for YOU. You don’t have to workout 5 times a week doing the typical “bro split”. Everyone’s lifestyle is different whether you love to travel, work a 9-5 job, can only workout on your off days or whatever it is , implement fitness with what works for YOUR schedule and to where you will actually enjoy it! Because if you don’t enjoy it, you will not work as hard for it. So find balance, and fall in love with the journey 💕
Did not realize how long that was until after I finished typing, sorry not sorry 🤷🏻♀️

Hellooooo again😊 More of a personal post rather than a fitness post but I’ve been on vacation for the last week and have not been tracking my food, working out, etc. It was a good break from the routine but I am READY to get back in the gym and even more ready to be sore af. This is only the second time in the last 9 months that I’ve taken a break from the gym that lasted over 5 days, and I’ve realized just how antsy it makes me not having the daily routine of working out😂 so, MAJOR shouts to the gym for keeping me a sane and (hopefully) pleasant human being to be around😅 As for a couple other updates, I’m heading back to school this week and my classes will begin next week! My posts may be few and far in between for a little while as I get my shit together again for another quarter at a new school, but you can guarantee I’ll still be at the gym☺️
The other day one of my colleagues from work told me that I always have this "i am tired" look on the face. Now I understand what he meant 😅
It's a paradox tho, I wasn't tired at all on that photo, even though it was past midnight. However, late night trainings are still unconvenient for me because I would usually have a bigger meal after the workout, but now if I come back home after midnight, I'm not happy to potentially wake up others with cooking..On the other side, I could meal prep, so I will try to organise myself around it. Completely in love with late night training sessions! ❤️
Also, I'm planning something for the upcoming 3 months, will explain soon and post on story..especially for all of you following the workouts I do, stay tuned! 😙
Goood Morning and Happy Monday 💛 I hope everyone is having a great day. I had a wonderful leg day today, and Im so excited to share this with you. I hope you try it out and let me know how you like it!!
If you watch my stories you know I’ve recently stepped WAY out of my comfort zone and said YES to an amazing opportunity with @arbonne! •
And I am loving it!! It is already so worth it! I stood back and watched for almost a whole YEAR you guys. But I doubted myself. “I can’t do that,” “I’m not good enough,” “people will judge me,” “I’m too introverted and awkward.” I told myself EVERY excuse you can think of. I fed myself daily with self doubt so that I wouldn’t do it. •
But you know what? In the end I didn’t want to live my life thinking what if I would’ve done it? What could life be like? So I DID IT! I jumped and not a single ounce of me regrets that decision. I am surrounded by the best people who are encouraging and uplifting. I don’t worry about what people think much anymore because let’s be honest, who the heck cares? I’m helping people better themselves and to live a healthier life which is what I’ve always loved! And on top of all of that, I’m earning an extra income! There was literally nothing to lose and everything to gain!
If you want to know more about this opportunity, message me and let’s chat! I’d love to tell ya all about it! 💚
I hate the whole “never miss a Monday” BS
Oh shoot you missed your workout today AND it’s Monday?! Well that must be it then, you’ve screwed up the rest of your week and might as well just sit on the couch and eat fried chicken until next Monday rolls around 🙄
We put so much emphasis on this day of the week....when in most calendars it’s not even the start of the week 😅
Instead of focusing on getting everything right and perfect this ONE day a week, why don’t we try making smaller improvements each day so that we can build something sustainable and not start over at the beginning of every week 🙃🙃
Anyone else with me?? 🙋🏼♀️🙋🏼♀️
