This is what a full heart + exhaustion looks like.
This past weekend I traveled to and from TX for a conference and I haven't quite decided how I want to share one thing that happened... IF I even want to share it.
Have you ever had something happen that there's NO WAY it was chance? You knew God had his hand in it and it almost makes it more special just to keep it in.... That was me at the airport this weekend.
I'm still sorting it out but for now I'll say. 1. I think I'd make a decent Texan. 2. When your heart is full enough it overcomes the tired.
How do you deal with #toxicpeople in your life?By doing what #dolphins are doing!Dolphins have been caught on camera playfully passing a poor puffed-up #pufferfish like a ball amongst themselves.
Most other creatures react extremely badly to pufferfish. The puffer toxin could, for instance, stop a human from breathing.
But dolphins are immune to the toxic chemical of pufferfish. They actually get high on this toxin.Let’s think about emotions for a second.
Feelings don’t come upon us out of nowhere. They are the result of how we interpret the world.
Until we have a negative thought about something that has happened, we won’t experience a negative feeling. There are bad people in the world who could and can hurt other people physically. Of course, there are.
But in an emotional sense, there are no toxic people.Only you can hurt your feelings. And how do you hurt your feelings?By your very own thinking! Is it easy to change these “knee-jerk” thoughts to new ones that would serve you better? No.But it can be done.Actually, this is what life coaching is all about.
I am currently offering free coaching sessions to a few clients to launch my new online coaching program. E-mail me soon if want to be one of them. Spots are filling up fast.risa @risa4coaching.comDolphins are special because they don’t react to puffers like other animals. You are special too because you have self-awareness and can learn how to use your mind to make your life better.Imagine yourself a dolphin who is playing with a puffer and start popping some of those toxic sentences that immediately jump into your mind when your mother says and does things. #adultdaughters#lifecoaches#lifecoachingforwomen#personalgrowth#coachinglifestyle#growthquotes#lifecoachingtips
“Be the reason someone smiles today”
I have always loved that quote.
If I can be a 𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 in someone’s life and if I can add 𝐣𝐨𝐲 to someone’s day then feel I worthy and like I’m fulfilling my purpose.
For a period of time I felt that I had lost that.
I felt like I didn’t know how to relight my own light let alone shine it onto others. I was busy and I had lost myself in the craziness of my job.
Coaching changed that for me. Through coaching I found my light again. Because of coaching I learned that I have to fill my own cup first before I can pour into others.
I am a better person because of coaching, I am a better teacher because of coaching, I am a better daughter/friend/girlfriend because of coaching.
I found community because of coaching.
I get to work my 2nd job in sweats while on my couch because of coaching.
I have changed lives because of coaching.
I am held accountable everyday because of coaching.
I have made new friends because of coaching.

Omg...isn't that the truth! You get to a point where you start realizing it's not everyone else's fault, then you start to see yourself through different eyes. You see that you have your own toxic traits/behaviors that you fall back on in certain situations. Situations(people) that, despite knowing they are unhealthy for you, you seem drawn to repeatedly. It doesn't mean the other person wasn't an asshole, or that you deserved the pain they caused, but it does mean you probably caused some pain yourself, and that you deliberately set yourself up to be a victim over and over and over again. We all have our shit. Life is not all rainbows and roses. It wasn't meant to be. It was meant to be a lesson. Many lessons, actually. But the true meaning of all we have learned isn't only found in the experience itself, it's found within ourselves. It's how we reacted. How we felt. How we treated others. How we used those experiences to benefit others as well as our own personal & spiritual growth. We don't usually start looking that deeply within until we are finally more uncomfortable staying the same, than we are doing the hard work of changing. Old behaviors and patterns are not easy to break, but with time, commitment, and faith, it can and will happen. It's even more difficult seeing yourself as a toxic person...as someone you swore you'd never become. But the day you do...is the day you know that you're tired of your own bullshit, that you're ready to let go of the past, honor your worth, and do the work to be the best version of yourself possible.
Healing isn't easy, but it sure feels better than staying miserable. ✌💜🙏 #growthquotes#personaldevelopment#energyhealing#change#spiritualenlightenment#awakening#truthbomb

How to give good advice⠀
Most people believe that giving ‘good advice’, is as simple as suggesting what course of action you would take, if you happened across that scenario.⠀
Although it may seem like you’re providing your troubled counterpart with the most advantageous course of action to take, this just isn’t the best way to provide guidance.⠀
Unless you happened to share the exact personality of the other person, your words of direction are riddled with bias and personal priority.⠀
It would be easy for me to say something like; “no one knows what you need to do, better than yourself”, but that doesn’t remove the need for occasional enlightenment.⠀
So, if not piecing together previous experience into a recommended course of action, how does one produce both beneficial and positive advice?⠀
By placing themselves into the conflicted’s mind.⠀
Truly understanding the person opposite, will allow the advisor to choose the correct way in which to approach the topic in question.⠀
What words to use.⠀
What tone to hold.⠀
Where things lie on their pyramid of priority.⠀
Once an understanding of how they would normally approach this scenario has been established, you can then provide advice based around their preferences - not your own.⠀
This allows you to supply a recommended route for processing, without the presence of the one thing we can’t remove from our own choices - emotion.⠀
Without emotion, your advice will not only be logical - but personalised - bestowing a outcome that will ultimately benefit the person in doubt. ⠀
So, if you truly want to help that person in need, you HAVE to put yourself in their shoes.⠀
If you don’t, you’re only recommending what you would do - which is of no help to anybody.
