"If you had a manager that talked about you the way you talked about you, you'd quit" Seth Godin.
I love the frame that this quote creates. We hold how others treat us in a certain regard. We have expectations for how we will allow others to treat us... But what about how we treat ourselves?
You can grow, develop, learn and become a more capable human and still be kind to yourself. Hell, you might even grow faster if you aren't spending the energy judging and grumbling about yourself.
Running a business basically of one I am constantly coming up against things I am not good at. This has been something I have been pondering and dealing with a lot recently. I am making every effort to be kind to myself as I learn and I think it is something everyone else owes themselves as well.

Marcel Franck, a company founded in 1882 in Paris, was the world leader in luxury perfume atomizers. The company disappeared in the late 1990s. It has been revived since a few years and restored its family nature. They have combined art and technology.
They have two collections: Home and Purse/Travel atomizers.
For the Home Collection the two old Marcel Franck iconic mounts/spray systems have been completely redesigned: the Fizz mount with a ball and the Escale mount with a piston. They are gold or palladium plated. They are adding in 2019 an applicator for essential oils or oily fragrances.
The Purse atomizers have a shell also made of brass. They use materials like metals, woods, resins, carbon fibre, leather and techniques such as guilloche or lacquer. Metallic parts are palladium or rose gold plated. Their innovation lies in the materials that they use.
All of the atomizers are “made in France” and reflect the French elegance. ( this txt was taken from the website ). I will be sharing a video soon , I still don’t know with what perfume should I fill this beautiful atomizer ! ——————————————————————————— #perfume#nicheperfume#perfumery#fragrance#fraghead#love#instagram#photooftheday#scent#smellgood#niche#nichefragrance#perfumer#perfumeblogger#follow#fragcomm#tehran#dubai#shj#usa
🇺🇸 Hello everyone this week I’m discovering @uermiperfumecollection
Got it at @10corsocomonewyork
I never heard about this house before the concept is an interpretation of textiles in a fragrance from not regular textiles but those created aiming to preverse the planet using cyberspace kind of technique
Second day and I picked OR kanabo (Hemp) “The word KANABO means HEMP in Esperanto (the ‘language of hope’ created in 1887). How ancient, authentic and precious this fabric is : the very fi rst plants on our planet, about ten thousand years ago, to be spun into a fiber. It demands work, time, special tools and skilled manual labour. The hemp fabric - so beautiful, beneficial and eco-friendly - means past and future that meet halfway in our present time, where we would all need a more nature oriented life.”
A note from the house
Launched in 2017 ,Nose behind it Cecile Zarokian

"Viking, a fiery men’s fragrance that bottles the fearless spirit of boundless exploration for the modern man who goes against the grain. Inspired by the incredibly crafted longships, a centerpiece of the Viking Age and one of the greatest design feats of the ninth century. A symbol of voyage and undeniable perseverance, longships were carefully designed for the skilled seaman who embodied unbridled determination to conquer. Viking marks the brand’s first major men’s scent since the introduction of the cult best-selling Aventus in 2010." - a note from the brand.
Viking fragrance notes
Calabrian bergamot, Sicilian lemon, Pink pepper
Pepper, Bulgarian rose, Peppermint
Indian sandalwood, Haitian vetiver, Indian patchouli, Lavandin

What are your thoughts on Creed Virgin Island Water? This for me is my vacation in a bottle scent.
SOTD: Nuit D’Issey by Issey Miyake. This is a very safe fragrance for those cooler months. There is not anything groundbreaking about this one but it still smells good. The main players are Leather and Incense with some Woods floating around.

Baldessarini by Hugo Boss is a hidden gem for me. I don't see it getting much love from the fragcomm. I can't compare it to anything else I've ever smelled because it is it's own thing. I've had this bottle for over 10 years, it's almost gone now (as you can see). I wouldn't call it old school though. It really is pretty original. I think it works in all seasons, but I'm not sure how it would work in a snowy winter climate. I would say that it's a good office scent, not offensive at all and not overpowering.
It has citrus hints in the top notes with bitter rrange, tangerine and mint. The mid has notes of clove and chamomile. And there's a combination of patchouli, tobacco, juniper, musk and amber at it's base.

From My Fragrance Archives: JIL SANDER SUN.
JIL SANDER SUN may seem like an unusual choice on a chilly, cloudy day here in NYC, but I felt like I needed a burst of brightness. JIL SANDER SUN was first launched in 1989 and was created by perfumer Pierre Bourdon. I was first introduced to JIL SANDER SUN by my friend and former colleague Therese (aka @ttpurplequeen ) back in the late 90’s and it was love at first sniff!
What first struck me about the fragrance was how creative and innovative it was, especially for a scent called “SUN”. You won’t find that Eau De Cologne freshness one would expect from a summer scent, nor does it have the alternative expectation of being tropical; drenched in coconut and smelling like sun tan lotion. Instead, JIL SANDER SUN can best be described as a gourmand with an oriental twist.
JIL SANDER SUN has a sugary sweet goodness about it that reminds me of drinking a frozen daiquiri while lying on the beach on a hot summer’s day. But what I love the most about it is the surprising warmth of the base that prevents the fragrance from becoming too sweet while adding a subdued sensuality. The warm aspect of the scent reminds me of of how my skin feels when warmed by the sun. JIL SANDER SUN is truly an inspired take on a summer scent, although it has quite enough body to be worn year round. After all, the sun doesn’t go away at the end of summer!
Just to clarify, the version of JIL SANDER SUN that I’m describing is the women’s version. At the time that I got the fragrance, there was no men’s version. Apparently there is one now, though I have yet to try it. With that being said, I find that this one can pass for unisex and a man can wear it just as easily.
TOP: Bergamot, Blackcurrant, Rosewood
MIDDLE: Jasmine, Lily Of The Valley, Orange Blossom, Violet
BASE: Patchouli, Sandalwood, Vanilla, Tobacco, Benzoin
Any other fans of JIL SANDER SUN out there? What are your thoughts on it?
