What differences do you notice in your mind and body when in a state of concentration and presence, versus when your mind is scattered, distracted and rushed?
Noticing these differences can be helpful. Appreciating these differences builds our self-awareness. It's not about labeling one right and the other wrong. It's about familiarizing yourself with your mind and it's many patterns, habits and fluctuations. From this point of noticing, only then can we start to stabilize the mind and work more skilfully with it.
