Silversarge today! Although I look older, I’m actually feeling healthier and younger now than over the past 3 years! Week by week, I’m getting stronger both physically and mentally. (Thank you DNA nutrition!)

Setbascks are an opportunity to re-calibrate. I was fortunate after my first P/E I had 5 long days in the hospital to think of the life I was living, and the life I always wanted to live. I made the choice to change. Now my life is in better alignment. My second P/E was a mental setback. I momentarily gave up on many physical activities I was passionate about.
It took 2 catalysts to completely snap out of my mental setback and find my VERY stubborn drive again.
#1) I was at work and overheard a fit 30 something man talking about a half-marathon he was training for. It perked my interest and decided to engage in conversation about running later that day. I found myself referring to myself as the “I used to...” guy accepting the fact that I defined myself from my past. A chapter I thought was closed. Then I heard his story how he was in an accident when he was 14 and lost a LUNG!! He has been racing and living his life with only 1 lung.
At that moment something clicked inside of me. I was inspired and I stopped looking at my limitations of my damaged lungs. My mindset changed and I decided to stop creating my own limitations.
