Honest Physique Update 10/20/19
(Pics taken right after hitting legs)
5 Basic Things I’ll be focusing on as I do a lean recomp until the new year:
1️⃣Making sure to get 30-40g of protein in 5x a day (Average 150g-200g protein per day)
2️⃣Staying right around 2100-2300 Calories every single day
3️⃣Hitting every body part twice a week (even if it’s only 4-8 sets at a time)
4️⃣ At least 2x 30min cardio sessions per week
5️⃣ Tracking my intake with MyFitnessPal everyday again
Intuitive eating DOES NOT work for me and probably won’t for most people trying to gain or retain their muscle mass. I’ve eased off the gas pedal the past two months and it’s worked out okay.. but no significant improvement in strength or size. Pretty common sense BUT intuitive eating does not work for me even after YEARSSSS of tracking/eyeballing my macros/calories for a long long time. I just DO NOT hit enough protein intake
It’s so difficult for natties to look on point all year because you have to be disciplined constantly with nutrition, training, and recovery. The moment you slack in your training and the workouts are half assed then your body has no reason to stimulate muscle growth or retention. The moment you don’t get enough protein intake, your body is prone to using your muscles as source of energy. The moment you disregard sleep and don’t recover properly, it sets everything back for the whole week
Has intuitive eating ever worked for you? Who else is running a lean recomp until they can make their mind up going into 2020?!
💣POM SQUAD agent team profile: East Coast Fluff Force💣
Welcome the latest POM Squad recruits - a pack of five, all unique breeds with unique skills, but together, an unstoppable S.K.W.E.R.L.-fighting force! A shoutout to Isidor, Sigmund, Sammy, Libby and Bruiser, the East Coast Fluff Force! @purpledoglove
The entire team were rescues from @hart90rescue - Homeless Animals Rescue Team (HART). Their momma volunteers there every Saturday and they foster rescues waiting to find their forever home.
This group has been barking at 🗣🐿squirrels for a long time. Sammy, in particular, defends their house from the dual threat of S.K.W.E.R.L.🚫🐿 and the mailman📮📬. Despite his position as the security specialist, Sammy is very sensitive and sweet when off-duty. He loves back scratches and peanut butter and dancing his circus dance for more treats.
Libby is a devout follower of the Church of Nap😴💤 and worships whenever she can. She has converted the others to share her beliefs. The only girl on the team, Libby acts as a mediator between Isidor and Sammy who have some friction.
Bruiser is the transportation specialist🚗 of the team. An ace co-pilot for his mom while driving, his size also allows him to be an expert bag rider👜. The smallest member of the team, his size can sometimes put him at risk.
Sigmund is the bossiest member of the team, as he thinks himself the team leader. He has a special relationship with Libby, tag-teaming for plushie destruction. He rips them open, she de-stuffs them. While he can be a cuddle-bug, beware his temper!
Isidor spent the first year and a half of his life in a puppy mill until he was rescued and adopted. He and Libby are the closest siblings on the team. Earlier this year, Isidor was diagnosed with cancer. But he has been fighting💪 it with a brave heart💜 and is responding well to treatment. He is currently working through his bucket list and getting lots of steak, ice cream and other treats😋. It is unclear how long Izzy may have with his family, but they are helping to make every day count💕.

Gaius the Cat has little popcorn feet, or Disney-gloves, as we sometimes call them. They can get quite big, when he wants to grip something - or pop you a claw! He loves his Hoomans, but is very picky about guests.
