Easy chicken & basil stir fry recipe! Really quick and simple stir fry that I made last night. Based on a pad Krapow recipe, but with added ginger and veg. Can easily be made in less than 30 mins and as you can see from the macros, is pretty healthy. Give it a shot and let me know how you get on! ✌🏼🌶 .
Macros per portion: 455 cal, 37g protein, 65g carbs, 8g fat
Ingredients (makes 4 portions) 
2 tbsp oil
400g chicken breast cubed to 2cm pieces
6 garlic cloves
4cm piece of ginger grated
2 chillis (more if desired)
half a cabbage thinly sliced
1 pack green beans chopped in half
1 pack cherry tomatoes (about 200g)
1 pack of basil
2 limes
Sauce: 100ml chicken stock, 1 tbsp oyster sauce, 2 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp fish sauce, 2 tsp sugar
80g uncooked rice per person (substitute with noodles if you fancy) 
Method:
Wash and chop all your veg according to instructions. While making the stir fry, cook the rice according to pack instructions. Mix the ingredients for the sauce together.
In a wok, heat 1 tbsp oil over high heat. Add half of the chopped garlic+ginger+chilli, fry for 30s, then add the cabbage and green beans. Stir fry on high for about 4 mins, until the beans are just about cooked. Remove from pan and set aside. Now add the remaining oil to the wok over high heat. Add the chicken, stir fry on high for 8 mins. Now add the sauce to the chicken and cook for a further 2 mins. Now add the cabbage, beans, tomatoes and basil to the pan. Squeeze in the two limes, mix together, taste and add more seasoning if required. Serve over rice.

I’ve kind of made it my mission to inspire. I feel if I can inspire someone I’ve succeeded. 180kgx5 (~80%) today RPE 7ish. First bit of volume on deadlifts in weeks. Felt a bit iffy but that’s bound to happen after not training. New gym, and on a stiff bar without any whip to help me. Had to use straps as the bar was slippy and didn’t have much knurling at all for my hook grip. Back to basics, around 6 months out from my next competition, plenty of time to build. Looking for a 600kg total

Had the privilege of collaborating with one of the best dives in my hometown last night! And on National Burger Day!

As always, I asked the boss-man to create me something epic.. and boy did he deliver 👊
.
Here's a little rundown of how this sloppy deliciousness is compiled:
.
•2 grilled cheese buns made with butttery Texas Toast
•4 LARGE smashed beef patties that took over the sammich as you can see..
•4 layers of melty Pepper Jack cheese
•6 strips of crispy bacon
•Grilled jalapenos and sauteed onions throughout
•Smothered in sweet BBQ sauce
•Crispy onion rings to top it off
.
I'll start by saying this sandwich was epic in size and in flavor..
.
The grilled cheese buns were SO toasty and buttery.. my favorite part of the burger.
.
Each bite had an initial surge of butter that oozed out the the crispy Texas Toast onto my taste buds. .
Beef has lots of flavor and paired very well with their house BBQ and Pepper Jack cheese.
.
Onions and Jalapenos were perfectly cooked. I'm not a huge fan of hot peppers but these belonged on the sandwich. Perfect amount of kick. Sauteed onions, as always, made the burger nice a juicy.

Onion rings on a burger=always a win.

Don't ask.. yes. I ate it all.

With so many milks on the market all claiming they are healthier than the rest, it can be hard to navigate which on this the best fit for you! Did you know that 65% of the adult population is lactose intolerant? This can lead to a lot of digestion and skin issues for some people who consume diary, especially non-fermented forms of dairy (fermented forms = Greek yogurt, Kefir, cottage cheese). Lactose intolerance also really depends on your genetics.  For example, Only 5% of people of northern European descent are lactose intolerant vs. up to 90% of people from East Asian descent are lactose intolerant.

That’s why it’s a beautiful thing that there are so many different milk alternatives on the market today. Below I’m breaking down the pros and cons each milk. Almond milk pro: low in calories, contains vitamin E, lactose free
con: low in protein

Cashew milk - pro: good source of fiber, full of iron, low In calories, lactose free
Con: low in protein

Coconut milk - pro: low in calories, contains potassium, lactose free
con: low in protein

Dairy milk - high in protein, higher in calcium
cons: higher in sugar & not good for people with a lactose intolerance. Also, U.S. dairy is pasteurized so it loses some of its beneficial nutrients and enzymes.

Soy milk - pro: high in protein, vitamin D & B12, lactose free
con: not good for those w allergies and who already have an estrogen dominance/too much estrogen in their system.

As I can finally walk again and my head isn't bursting open, I decided to give it a go in the gym 💪 I went with super light weights and I'm glad I have! Having completed the workout, I was sweating and felt tired, but also good! My body definitely missed the regular lifting 💪

However, humans still choose to view nutrition as a “Black & White” scenario each day.

Either you are 100% invested or you are just failing at fitness in general.

This is an issue that is a causation of weight regain, not so much lost.

Sure, any human can achieve fat loss.

Just a matter of applying education to an environment that they will practice effortlessly.

Although, once the weight is lost, the metabolism  will want to begin the re-feeding period.

Suddenly, those egg whites and oats in the morning begin to have “guilty” additives.

That bland chicken and zucchini noodles begin to have “forbidden” sauces and condiments.

See, it’s not so much a calorie issue when it comes to adding these foods back in or keeping them in.

The issue lies in the lack of education.

Failing to teach humans that foods have more than just a “purpose”.

What is to say, that there is a trend to a higher amount of micronutrients in frozen veggies/ fruits, as it is cropped ripe and immediately frozen afterwards in most cases.⁣

It often tastes a lot better when it is fresh and if you buy it regional, you have the best things combined - high amount of micronutrients and a good taste.⁣
