No matter what you do, the most important thing is you’ve always got to TRI(cep).
I once thought I was going to go to med school.
Medical school actually wasn’t really what I thought about, I wanted to do forensics, but I got so caught up in the competition I ended up thinking I wanted to be a medical professional... long story short I mucked up my UMAT test and got wait listed for entry (it’s very competitive). Then I actually stood back and came to the realisation that hey, I did not ever TRULY want this for MYSELF!
So I, being a nutter, decided to have another competitive year and try for law school (something I had often thought about through high school). However, near the final 100% weighted exams I got sick.
Let’s just say that sh*t got real freakin’ tough for me. I did my entrance finals in a ‘zombie-like’ state.
I missed out by 1-2 %. I tried so fucking hard though, despite my unideal situation. I felt like my whole world crashed down... I couldn’t do much while I was sick and now this?
I fell to the floor and cried. 1-2% not good enough, again I thought.
BUT what did I do? I got up. I wrote to the admissions team about what I had been going through. They later wrote me back... they gave me a chance!
This was the end of 2015. The hell that is second year law followed in 2016. Now that was a tough year too, not just because of the nature of the work but also because I was still sick... but I tried and I battled and I never gave up.
Now I say that because 2017 brought me something... At the start of 2018 I received a letter from the Dean. I had come second in law school that year. Well shit! I was stoked, as anyone would be, but even more so because I always felt like I wasn’t good enough to be there.
Sorry for saying so much but I say all of this because I wanna say some important sh*t...
DO NOT GIVE UP. PERSEVERE.

Nothing like being with someone who helps you and supports you to become the best version of yourself😍✨🙏🏽⚡️.
How about YOU and your partner? Are you ready to LEVEL UP together?! 🤗 . .
In case you missed THIS HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT in my stories earlier today, @jorge & I are soooo freaking excited to have officially opened up the waitlist for LEVEL UP COUPLES PROGRAM! 🎉🎉🎉🎉.
We have been working so hard in creating this amazing program designed specifically to give couples all the tools to succeed in their individual journey and individual fitness goals, but working towards these TOGETHER! As a team with your partner! 🤜🏽⚡️ holding each other accountable, and encouraging each other!
🔎One particular study in the U.K. found that individuals are THREE TIMES more likely to succeed in making positive lifestyle changes when they join a behavior-change program (such as a nutrition/workout plan) as a couple.
• 📝Even though we are all individuals, partners have the capacity of influencing each other’s behavior.
• 🔹I know this for a fact. @jorge_fitbyromao and I share the same passion for treating our bodies with mindfulness.
• 🔸The truth is that it is easier and better together, and I couldn’t be more grateful for being with someone who helps me grow in so many levels and who is on the same page as I am and who I now get to go with in the journey to help other couples reach this level of connection with each other that commiting to something together brings !! ❤️. _

MOBILITY MONDAY! After cardio I like to mobilize through flow.
So my task for you this week is to complete two cardio sessions. Anything you like! Run/Jog/Walk/ Elliptical/Stairmaster/Cycle/Row whatever it is for 30-40 minutes.
Most people dislike cardio but it’s only because it’s something they dislike doing. So find something you can enjoy for 30-40 minutes. Grab a friend. Find a good playlist. Put a good show on.
Then mobilize by creating your own flow and use this as a guide.
I’m tagging 10 people to complete this task
Have fun and tag me back💪🏼💕 I do not own the rights to this song.

Happy #motivationmonday 💪🏻😎 Sometimes life throws us challenges, whether physical or mental, to see how badly we want something. I’ve been been facing some challenges physically which have also affected me mentally, but I won’t let it deter me from doing the best I can and continuing the path to my end goal. A very close friend of mine keeps telling me “it’s just temporary and when they figure it out, you’ll be fixed up in no time”.. there are days that is hard to believe but on days like today, when I pushed through and ended up having an amazing fucking lift.. well these are the times I actually believe it. Bottom line, face the challenge with your head high and with the mindset that whatever it is you are going through is only temporary, and you will get through it!! 🙌🏻🙏🏻❤️
This is the strongest lift I’ve had in a long time!! 🙌🏻
Video 1: Final set - 225lbs for 8.. Video 2: 5th set - 205 for 12..
Video 3: 4th set - 185 for 15.. It felt amazing!! 🙌🏻💪🏻🙌🏻💪🏻 #deadlifts#back#backday ———————————————————————-
