The cloud cover is refusing to lift from the peak of Mt Barney today.
Did a guided climb of Mt Maroon yesterday afternoon the intention to see the moonrise as there was meant to be an awesome full moon last night (Good Friday.) But sadly these persistent clouds decided to cluster and move in making a very cloudy sunset outlook from the peak (964 metres). More about that in another post. But here is the magnificent (albeit cloud covered) Mt Barney.
One of the many mountains in the Mc Pherson Ranges and the fourth highest peak in Queensland. Found in the Scenic Rim, a wonderful part of south east Queensland and only a two hour drive from either Brisbane or the Gold Coast.
Easter is a busy time and @mtbarneylodge is fully booked and no wonder, what a place to camp out at, enjoy nature on your doorstep and take in this view. Swipe to see the creek bed at the perimeter of the campgrounds. Again more to post soon!
