➰Black, Natchez Indian, Dominican, Puerto Rican & Haitian➰ “I live in Dallas, Tx but I grew up between New York and New Orleans. My experience growing up was odd at times. I didn’t really know Much about being Latina because my black mom raised me as a black woman. Yes, I knew my Latino family but only on special occasions or holidays. I was a full-time black girl with Latina roots. I had a HUGE awakening at 23 years old about myself and my background and studying my roots and reconnecting with family has helped me understand myself more. I learned that I’m allowed to love every part of who I am as a learn about it. Something I had spent many years confused about and unsure of. Now I flaunt my roots and when I’m asked, I can speak confidently about who I am and where I come from.” #TheMixedAspect 💖 #HumanRace ✊ #MixedIsEnough#MixedMotivation#Experience#MixedGirls@yanna_lou
Couldn’t think of anyone else I would rather laugh away my life with. Happy birthday to this guy. The one who lights up my world, and never forgets how much I love to dance in the kitchen together. How lucky am I to have found someone who is just as passionate about my dreams as they are their own. And for that- I plan on never letting go. Cheers to another year of celebrating you ❤️ Thanks to @carolinerossphotography for capturing our goofy selves.
