When people say "it must be nice for the military to pack and unpack for you" it makes my blood boil.
Yes, we do have a packing service provided which helps. Then the unpacking service too. But also, why should we be forced to do the physical labour of packing and unpacking when they're telling us to move?? But then this. This is our unpack. ALL of our belongings are emptied out of every box on to any flat surface within about 4 hours. They put together the beds and sofas they disassembled to move, which is great. But then they leave. They leave and our new home looks like a tornado. They do not put anything in cupboards or drawers or closets. Only flat surfaces. Now we have to spend days finding homes for everything we own in an entirely new footprint of house.... (Where the cupboards aren't even big enough to fit my dinner plates!!) It's exhausting. Sure, the military pays for packing and unpacking but believe me, a military move is NOT easy.

One of the things I most loved about South Korea was the nature and ease of exploring it 🌱 In so many cities, you could just hop on a quick bus and find yourself at the start of an amazing hiking trail. Before you know it you’d be immersed in nature with the city long forgotten! I got so accustomed to this that when I got to Eastern Europe and the public transport was limited and more old-fashioned, I really missed East Asia. I was amazed by how healthy the Koreans were; there were so many times 70-year-olds overtook me hiking which was just embarrassing 😂 I guess the secret is being active to start with but locals also swear by the benefits of kimchi in keeping them young. 👌

The worker shall be entitled to gratuity for the fractions of the year in proportion to the duration of employment.
The worker’s service shall be considered continuous if it is terminated in cases other than those stipulated in article 61 of this Law and is returned to service within two months of its termination. The last basic wage shall be the base for the calculation of the gratuity. The employer is entitled to deduct from the service gratuity the amount due to him by the worker 👷
