In other words: eat the whole rainbow. One of the easiest ways to ensure variety is to make use of herbs and spices-commit to using one dried spice and one fresh herb every day for dinner. - Hydration Is Key
We urge you to take on this challenge. Change nothing else about your eating habits EXCEPT this one thing: commit to drinking 3 litres of water a day. Do this for 1 month. We will go on record and guarantee that if you compare body composition data- all will have improved. The right amount of hydration also helps all your organs do their job better. - Good Fats = Good Thinking
Most of us have probably read about fats this ad nauseam at this point but it’s worth repeating: you need good fats for optimal health, particularly for good brain functioning. Great ways to get it: nuts & seeds, avocados, olives, cooking using unrefined virgin coconut oil and dress your salads/veggie bowls with cold-pressed avocado, nut or olive oil.

I’ve been so busy with my move, that I didn’t have a chance to thank my “work daughters” at Zona Rosa. This was my going away present from them. I’m love all of them!!!! KALE AND BLACK BEAN QUESADILLA. What happens when I actually was too busy to eat lunch? THIS. Not sure this has ever happened to me - I never understood people who said they were “too busy” to eat lunch or they just forgot to eat lunch. So I definitely speed-walked home to make this super-late lunch and damn, it was good. FOOD DEETS: @traderjoes whole wheat tortilla topped with @tenayofoods black bean dip, kale, and feta cheese topped with another tortilla and heated until nice and crispy 👍🏼. Don’t worry guys - the hanger went away after this one! 😅

Carbs are delicious and, personally, I don’t discriminate. 🤣But, for one of my clients who struggled with trying to eat “perfectly”, like I used to, carbs made her anxious. 😬She felt like she could only allow herself to eat things that were “healthy” like sweet potatoes 🍠and Ezekiel bread. Now, I love those two as much as the next gal💁♀️, but when you tell yourself that’s ALL you can have your body is going to want to rebel and eat an entire loaf of white bread. 🍞Seriously, it’s happened to me! And it was happening to my client, too. She was frustrated that she was craving all of the “bad” carbs, she felt like something was wrong with her. 😤Why did she have ZERO willpower?
During her time in my 1:1 No Food Rules coaching program we redefined what healthy eating looks like. We actually scheduled in times for her to eat things like white bread and refined, buttery crackers😲. This allowed her to normalize these foods and remove the “bad” label causing her to crave them. Guess what? She found she didn’t even LIKE THEM! It was biology that was causing her to crave them, not a lack of willpower. When she realized this she was able to free herself from the constant thoughts of the carbs she “couldn’t” have and the guilt associated with them. If she wants to have a warm dinner roll when out on date night, she can- and WILL, but she no longer feels the pull to eat the entire basket. 🙌🏻THAT, my dears, is what it’s like to live the No Food Rules lifestyle!
