Every 10 likes will be a tree planted back in the Amazon, hopefully to grow back and home the exotic wildlife. A simple double tap will help regrow the lungs of the Earth that will provide generations to come with a healthy share!
More than 40 million trees have already been destroyed by the fires and their damage doesn’t just stop there. The fires in the Amazon aren’t just devastating for the local communities and the wildlife who inhabit the world’s largest rainforest — they’re also catastrophic for the entire planet. The Amazon has earned the nickname of “the lungs of the world” because of its essential role in not only providing 20 percent of all the world’s oxygen, but also absorbing carbon dioxide from our atmosphere. So as a record number of fires continue to burn in the Amazon — this year, there have been more than 72,000 fires, an increase of 84 percent from January to August of last year — we’re being forced to ask: What would the world look like without the Amazon?⠀
In addition to the loss of oxygen, the Amazon plays a crucial role in regulating the planet’s temperature — therefore slowing climate change — by absorbing carbon dioxide and lowering levels of greenhouse gases; if the rainforest were to disappear due to fire, drought, and deforestation, it would become a source for carbon dioxide instead of being a sink for it. ⠀
The loss of the Amazon would also mean millions of people losing their home, along with more than 3 million species of plants and animals — many of which have yet to be cataloged. ⠀
As liking this post and sharing with your friends, you can also help the Amazon by limiting your consumption of meat, soya, palm oil products, wood and dairy. Please just take a moment of your day to comprehend the vitality of the Amazon.

WE DESTROY THE MOTHER WHO CREATED US
We're destroying any form of life. We are the Earth's children. She was there before. But will she even exist after Human extinction?
Amazonia is burning. Icebergs disappear. Animals are tortured for venal industrial and mad scientists. Some species are definitely eradicated.
WHAT ARE WE WAITING FOR?
If She dies, we die, life dies, children not even born are already dead.
The medias waste time talking about this or that pictures which one is fake, instead of showing how this ecology crisis is an international tragedy.
Those who can stop the fire fuel it.
DON'T PRAY! PRAYING WILL NOT HELP. HUMANS ACTIONS WILL HELP.

"There are no beautiful surfaces without a terrible depth."
It is from these bent and broken depths that we find our truths. It is in the shadows that we discover how far off we allowed our socialization to take us from oneness. Are we spiraling out of control or spiraling in to grace? I feel as horrific as the media constantly displays things that there is a momentum shift, a move towards compassion and intelligence. Situations like the Amazon is currently undergoing shed light on the horrors of globalization and the ignorance of convenience. Do we wish to just scratch the surface of humanities brief ride on this whirling hunk of rock barrelling through orbit or do we seek to know the depths of our consciousness and its impact on the aeons? This is our terrible depth, we are saturated in division, hatred, ignorant consumption for consumption sake, lack of humility and compassion for the very thing that sustains our egoic pursuits. And yet, I still feel as if we are right where we need to be. Soldiers of all kinds are mounting on all fronts, from the farmers markets to the board room, we are spiraling towards our grace. And just as they fight for their bottomless fulfillment, so do we fight for our right to exist for as long as we can upon the bosom of our
We are changing too slow for the change that has risen already. We are choking ourselves with bad lies and coping mechanisms, hiding from the truth that is all within us. I am sorry poor lands that the rich lands do not give anything and only take. I am sorry animals, that we are too damaged to see. That we have lived many years looking the other way and letting the pain over grow everything like a jungle mind. There are many people whom are opening their eyes now, but I am not sure if that will be enough and in time.

Dear Mother Earth,
The human species is but one of your many children. Unfortunately, many of us have been blinded by greed, pride, and delusion, and only a few of us have been able to recognize you as our Mother. Not realizing this, we have done you great harm, compromising both your health and your beauty. Our deluded minds push us to exploit you and create more and more discord, putting you and all your form of life under stress and strain. Looking deeply, we also recognize that you have enough patience, endurance and energy to embrace and transform all the damage we have caused, even if it takes you hundreds of millions of years. When greed and pride overtake our basic survival needs, the result is always violence and unnecessary devastation.
We understand that all things are impermanent and without a separate self-nature. There have been times when we suffered greatly as a result of natural disasters. We know that whenever we suffer, you suffer through us. The floods, tornadoes, earthquakes, and tsunamis aren't punishments or manifestations of your anger, but are phenomena that must occur on occasion, so that balance can be restored. In those moments, we have turned to you, dear Mother, and asked whether or not we could count on you, on your stability and compassion. You replied, "Yes, of course, you can count on your Mother. I will always be there for you." But then you said, "Dear children, you must ask yourselves, can your Mother Earth count on YOU?"
Dear Mother, today, I offer you my solemn reply, "Yes, Mother, you can count on me."
The pain that is rippling through the world at the hands of massive destruction and greed is SOO much more complicated than whether you eat meat or not. Race, politics, economics, culture, and the gap between privilege and the oppressed also play a role in this. *All things are connected* As hard as it is not to blame and rage, I believe the change we wish see begins with LOVE and HEALING- ourselves, each other, and our planet.
P.S. If you haven't read Love Letter To the Earth, by Zen Master and Peace Activist, Thich Nhat Hanh, it should be at the top of your list.
