Today felt slow, firstly due to some minor sensation in the left bicep whilst pressing, as well as my lower half/mid section being fatigued from Mondays good mornings (Rohan should not have gone for that single). I may or may not commit to any ME work for the next month, perhaps replacing it with high rep, full ROM dumbbell work to make sure that everything is working as intended. ... #Repost @lenmacpt with @get_repost ・・・ 💥PT vs Scope for Meniscus Tear 💥⠀ .⠀ Effect of Early Surgery vs Physical Therapy on Knee Function Among Patients With Non-obstructive Meniscal Tears: The ESCAPE Randomized Clinical Trial. van de Graaf VA et al JAMA Oct. 2018⠀ .⠀ Among patients with non-obstructive meniscal tears, PT was equal to arthroscopy for improving patient-reported knee function over a 24-month follow-up⠀ period. ⠀ .⠀ They went on to say that Based on these results, PT may be considered an alternative to surgery for patients with non-obstructive meniscal tears.⠀ .⠀ So, basically if theres no bucket handle tear present that may be blocking joint range of motion, then it is highly encouraged that the patient #GetPT1st and not do surgery.⠀ .⠀ Without going out on a limb, Id say this is a much more cheaper treatment option as well and would save society many costs associated with the surgery and lost time from work.⠀ .⠀ I do note a couple limitations: the surgical group did not get PT after surgery if they did as expected but they could get PT to help improve their symptoms.⠀ .⠀ The PT group did pretty basic exercises although leg press, lunges and balance type exercises were included.⠀ .⠀ Have you read this paper? Beltless deadlifts: 500 4x4 (not shown) Banded deadlifts: 365+two black rogue bands (605ishlbs at the top) 4x5 Tempo squats (beltless): 415lbs 4x6 (5 seconds down) For the past 1.5 months or so I’ve been dedicating significantly more time to rehab work and stretching to improve my all around form and so far the results have been incredible. You want to minimise it from being a hip extensor movement, keep Lats tight slow and controlled eccentric pause at the knees and then squeeze back up slowly 👆 keep the weight sub-maximal. • A2 - Tbar Rows: Instead of just rowing the weight up and down, shift your weight from the rear foot to the front, 👈push your hips back and open up the lats👉, keep elbows close to your body and squeeze at the top! • Side note sorry for the rude heads but let’s face it, if your not pulling fugly faces do you even lift 🤔

Its been felt a little rare because I always do the movement as fast as I can on the eccentric phase, I guess, to save energy to lift the weight. Whatever, It seems harmless at the beginning but actually it can be so hard. . SQ (W/TEMPO): 100kg x 1 / 80kg x 5 Paused DL: 110kg x 4 BP (W/TEMPO): 60kg x 1 / 50kg x 5 (I did six, sometimes I cant keep myself concentrated in the number of reps 😓) Close grip BP: 45kg x 8 . .
